Marcus wakes up the following day and gets dressed into a clean hoodie and Jeans. He runs out of his front door with a newfound determination to execute his plan. He knew there was a chance that it wouldn't work but it had to.
He felt immense remorse and regret and that was the reason why he was doing this. He decided that despite the reasons why he had to rob her, He decided that it really wasn't worth it.
Marcus didn't need to walk far to get to his destination. He walks into the red phone box in front of him and bends down to reach underneath the shelf a Yellow page book. Quickly he opens it and flicks through until he finds her name and then he picks up the phone and dials her number.
"Hello?"
He empties his throat and replied. "Is this Miss Chloe Meldona?"
She gasps in surprise when somehow she recognized his voice. "It's you, Isn't it?"
He thinks to himself, "Here goes nothing." He replies with a confident voice in the hopes this would work. "It is yes, But before you hang up I have a proposition for you."
She replies with sarcasm, "And what makes you think I'm even remotely interested? I could call the police right now."
He holds his nerve and takes a deep breath. "Because I have something you want. Meet me in the Monkey house tomorrow and don't call the Police." He hangs up on her ending the conversation and makes his way back to his house.
{Chloe's POV}
She hears a dial tone and slams the phone down in frustration. She sat there for a while feeling conflicted. On one hand, she wanted him to pay for what he had done whilst on the other, All she cared about was getting her property back.
Her Mother came into the room with a frown, "Who was that on the landline?"
Chloe shrugs and lies to her Mother, "Oh, Nothing Mother just the same old Idoit's selling PPI."
Her Mother nodded and exited the room.
Chloe felt guilty even though all these events that were spiraling out of control wasn't her fault but the last thing she should be doing is lying to her mother."
