Rachels POV
I woke up to my alarm playing Things Are Looking Up, because even though that song is almost four years old, its still a good song that puts you in a good mood, especially to wake up to. The clock on my phone said it was 7:30. "Good morning sunshine," I half whispered giving Ty a little boop on the nose.
He smiled, his eyes still closed. "Morning beautiful."
I walked into the bathroom, did my business, then walked back into the bedroom to see Ty sitting up in the bed, rubbing his hands over his face into his hair. "So school starts at eight but since Im a senior my first class doesnt start till 8:50. Do you think that you could run me home before you need to be back? What time does your morning class start?" I knew he had a class in the morning I just didnt know what time.
"Uh, actually I start in about 30 minutes so I dont think I can," he said with an apologetic smile.
"Oh. Ok..." The room was quiet for a few seconds.
"Hey! You could always call Rydel or Ross to take you home," he told me trying to sound cheerful.
"Yeah, yeah. I was just going to do that," I said picking up my phone from the nightstand and dialing Rydels number. "By the way what class you have at eight?"
"Ummmm," he said trailing on. "Just...math."
"Oh." By then the fourth ring of the call to Rydel had passed so I left a message. "Yeah I just needed a ride home because Ty has math at 8 and cant take me home. Never mind I'll try Ross," I said then hung up.
I dialed Ross' number and he picked up halfway threw the second ring. I could tell he was still sleeping by the way his voice sounded. "Yeah?" he asked followed by a yawn.
"Yeah...Say I need a ride home because Ty has a class at eight and I really dont want to be the reason why he would miss it so...Can you please give me a ride home?"
It took least 30 seconds passed and me yelling Ross! into the phone for him to answer. "Huh? Sorry I wasnt listening."
I sighed. Typical morning Ross for you. "Can you take me home so I can get ready for school?"
"What?" he asked. I could tell he was still half asleep. "Cant Ty take you home?"
"No, he has a class at eight."
There was a sigh. "Fine. I'll pick you up in ten."
"Thanks Ross!" I said then hung up.
About 15 minutes later I had my dress from last night back on and was drinking a cup of coffee that Ty had generously made me. There was a knock on the door and I went to go answer it. I opened the door to find Ross wearing some black sweatpants and a grey tank top. He hadnt even bothered to fix his hair and his eyes were bloodshot. "Wow," was all I could manage to say. "Why even bother to get dressed. Why not just dive here in nothing but your boxers?"
"Hey! You know I was thinking about it," he said. Im actually surprised he didnt, considering how early it is.
"Ok. We gotta go," I said as Ty came up and put his arm around me giving me a kiss on the cheek. I turned and kissed his lips. "Love you."
"Love you too babe."
"Lets go Ross," I said as he lead the way out the door. Once he turned around I stopped and read his shirt which said "Obama cant ban these guns" with arrows that were supposed to be pointing to his arms. I let out a laugh and so did Ty, behind me.
"He is so out of it," Ty said still laughing.
"Youre telling me," I said then followed Ross down the hall. I waited until we were out of the buildings front doors before I told him anything. "You do you know your shirts on backwards."
He looked down at his shirt. "Crap." He fixed it standing in the middle of the buildings front yard and some people, Im assuming who were on their way to their first class, were staring.
I sighed. "You couldnt have waiting until we got home to fix it?"
"Well Im not going to walk around looking like an idot," he said as we both got into his car. "And why are you bashing on what Im wearing. Youre the one still in last nights bridesmaids dress."
"Yes. The difference is I dont have any other clothes."
"You know if you stay overnight all the time, why dont you just move in?"
"Um..." I had a reason but I wasnt about to tell him. "Um...Because...Hes you know, in college and Im in high school. Plus I want to do really well with my grades this year and I wouldnt want to be...you know distracting him."
"Ry wouldnt approve would he?"
"Nope," I said telling the truth. I didnt understand why Ryland didnt want me moving in with Ty. I mean theyre best friends out of anyone Ty should be the one he could trust the most. The one that wouldnt hurt me. Plus he gets to live with his girlfriend so why couldnt I live with my boyfriend?
By now were at home. I got out of the car, thanked Ross for the ride and told him to go home and go back to sleep and he told me he just might, then I walked inside to find Kelsie and Ryland standing there with their arms around each other.
"What took you so long?" Ry asked, stepping away from Kelsie. He drove us to school, because he had a college class starting right after our first class did.
"Sorry. Ross took forever to get to Tys."
"Yeah that makes sense actually," he said and we just stood there for a few seconds in silence, while I thought again about why he wouldnt let me move in with Ty. "Go!" he siad giving me a 'what are you doing just standing there look'.
"Right. Ok. Let me just change clothes and brush my teeth," I said heading off towards my room.
