Chapter 8

Rachels POV

"Ok," I said pulling a black lace dress off of one of the racks in Forever 21. "Is this me or?" I asked Rydel who was leaning on a near by rack.

She tilted her head and thought about it for a few seconds. "I dont know. You'll have to try it one for me to see it."

I put the dress back on the rack. "Ok. Is my outfit picking off today? Because thats like the seventh thing I've picked out that you dont like when usually you love everything I pick out."

"No its not that. Its Jesse," she said looking down at the phone in her hands.

"What? Whats wrong with Jesse?" I asked walking over and looking down at her phone, too. She was on Instagram and there was a picture of Jesse, standing next to a pool. He had his arms around a girl and they were hugging/kissing. "Aw Del," I said wrapping my arms around my sister in a hug.

"I mean we'd only been going out for a couple weeks. I just guess I thought he was the one."

later back at the house

"We're back!" I yelled as I burst through the door with a whole bunch of bags in my hands. I saw that not only Ry, Ty, and Ross were here now, but Rocky, Riker, and Ellington were all here too. I noticed there was a play pen set up in the corner of the room that Brett was laying in. So Ashley must have stayed home with Char, Chase, and Chealsey.

"Whats up boys?!" I yelled as I put the bags down and jumped over the couch, plopping down between Riker and Rocky, and put my arms around them.

"Aw yeah!" Ryland and Ty yelled jumping up and chest bumping each other.

"Dammit Rachel!" Rocky, who was now standing up, yelled at me. "You made us lose!" He threw the controller down on the couch and stormed off into the kitchen.

I frowned knowing that thats urually not how Rocky acts. "Whats his problem?"

"I dont know," Riker said getting up to turn the xbox off. "He's been really grouchy today though."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you doing?" I asked.

Riker turned back around and looked at me. "Turning off the xbox?"

"No I want to kick your butt first."

Riker gave a little smirk. "Ok. You're on!" He said starting up a new game.

Rydels POV

After all of the girls and I carried all of the bags to the right cars, and Rachels into the house, I went into the garage to have some time to think for myself.

I found a box of old pictures of us kids when we were little. I took the picture off the top of the stack and smiled looking at it. It was a picture of us kids making a pyramid. Riker, Rocky, and Ryland on the bottom row, Ross and I in the middle row, and Rachel on top. I remember taking this. Right after we got off eachother Riker said "I think you broke my back" so we all went and tackled him. I wish we could go back in time to when we were younger. Those were the days..

I heard the door open behind me so I turned around to see who opened it. It was Ellington. He closed the door and walked over to where I was standing. "Hey," he said putting his hands in his pockets.

"Hey."

"You ok? I saw you walk out of the house. You seemed kind of upset."

I put the picture back in the box and set it on the car hood. I sighed not knowing if I should tell him but since he is one of my best friends I figured I could trust him. "Jesse posted a picture of him kissing another girl on a beach. I know its probably crazy that I'm this sad about it but I really thought he was the one."

"No your're not crazy. Besides you deserve way better than him."

I let out a faint smile. After that we were both silent for a while until Ellington noticed the box on the car. He pulled out a picture and smiled at it. "I remember this."

I looked at the picture too and saw that it was one of him holding me up in the air. We were both laughing. "I do too," I said now smiling at the memory.

"Yeah? All of the guys were taking silly pictures with the other girls and that left us two together." We were both silent again, looking at the picture. I saw Ell out of the corner of my eye look over at me so I did the same. He looked down at my lips then started to lean in and I couldnt help myself so I leanded in too. Next thing I knew we were kissing. The kiss lasted for several seconds until we both heard the door open and pulled away, scared of who it was that walked in one us.

Cliffhanger!! I know its been a couple weeks since I posted my last a/n but I finally put another chapter up so yay. Heres the thing. So I thought everything was unblocked on my computer but then it froze so I had to shut it down and now everythings blocked again. My guess is the schools probably not going to fix it this year so just bare with me on my updating schedule. Thank you for staying with me for those of you that have. -Anna :)
