20. The Voice in my Head

Kaoru POV

I swear I didn't want to get up and go to school. Being around Kaohi just feels weird now. A good and bad feeling. I really don't know how to explain it.

Anyway I got up and walked there. Momoko was with Mokai, but that's everyday. Minokai and Miyako seemed to be happy. Who I didn't see was Kaohi. I opened my locked and a yellow envelope dropped out.

From: Midori

To: Matsubara Kaoru

"What's that?" Momoko asked

"I have no idea," I replied opening it. It was a charm bracelet with a emerald star charm on it.

"Do you think it's real?" Miya asked

"Yeah right," I rolled my eyes. Yet, it was so pretty. I ended up wearing it all day.

Then Kaohi came running down the hallway panting.

"Are you okay?"I asked

"Where'd you get the charm?" he asked

"Midori," I replied

"Ooohhh. Girly has a secret admirer," he smirked "How many boys like the green queen."

"I'll think about it, but I will find Midori!" he smiled. He is such a weird boy. Probably dropped on his head a lot.

Later that day

Meet me at the fountain~ Midori

"Someone's getting popular," Mokai laughed

"I'm not meeting a random stranger somewhere," I replied

"Come on, everyone needs a chance at love," he smiled

After Momoko and Miyako's bickering on me wearing the perfect outfit, I finally got one.

I waited for at least five minutes.

"Kaohi? You're Midori?" I asked

"What? I came to meet L.G." he replied

I came to meet a stranger guy, no I'm with a strange guy.

"Well come on," he offered his hand.

"Excuse me?" I asked

"They're obviously not coming and this is a waste of time," he said "Why should we waste our time sitting here?"

I don't know what it was about him, but I went anyway.

"Fine," I grabbed his hand "Only cause I don't want to stay here."

"So if you're the sports queen, how come you weren't on the basketball team or baseball, or football?"

"While I was still in middle school the girls basketball team lost their sixth game so it got cut. The school board said I'm not allowed to be in baseball because it can be used as a weapon and I did not punch the Quarterback, his face was conveniently located in the direction of my fist."

"But they keep you in Karate," he asked

"Cause I haven't lost yet," I smirked. "Thinking about it, that school would lose everything if I wasn't there." So school is a mini Townsville and I'm still the hero!

Butch POV

I bet this is another one of Brick and Boomer's set up plots to get me with a girl. I swear those two get on my last good nerve when they team up on me.

And why Kaoru!? Not just because I got her that bracelet.
