26. The Gotokuji Family part 2

Kaname POV

"Hailee!" I knocked on her door

"Go away!" she yelled

"Hello," someone knocked on the door.

"Why are you here," I hissed

"Kuriko, Shou and Ken wanted to see Hailee." Miyako replied "If you haven't forgot, she has a life and friends."

"Miyako!" Hailee hugged her. "Why did you have to leave?"

"I went to visit my family," she smiled

"I thought it was you, me, and grandma?" Hailee said as Miyako explained more.

Later we went to the park cause they would stop whining.

"Hey Momo!" Miyako yelled at the two redheads.

"Momo and her boyfriend!" Kuriko yelled

She walked away pulling the boy with her.

"Kaname." Miyako said "Where are you and Hailee from?"

"Um, a small town about two hours over," I lied

"Hailee's birth certificate said California. Who is the man after her."

"That's known of your business!"

"Need I remind you I raised her for a year! I've already had to call police and I am terrified every night he'll come back! Who is he? Why does he call Hailee Kaname!"

"He's a failed children's doctor," I said hiding the truth, some. "Hailee got sick and I needed help. I didn't know it would turn out like that. On our way to Townsville I escaped but got lost. Finally I knew he was coming here but I had no idea where Hailee was. All I ever wanted was to protect her. I want to go back to California, I don't have any of the money to."

"I wanted to protect her. I don't how a fooled myself I could. I guess with my family, I thought I could. I can't protect everyone, no matter how much I try."

"Miyako," Hailee said "Why didn't you take me to Milan with you?"

"Because you were at Kuriko," she smiled "I know how much you two were planning it."

Miyako POV

I knew she didn't believe me. Later I took everyone and waved bye to Hailee.

Kaname POV

"Grandma," I heard Hailee in her room "You said you would help me, so please. Now. Why couldn't I go to Milan with Miyako? Is it because of Kana? She couldn't pay for it? Why couldn't I go?"

I'm so sorry Hailee.

Hailee POV

I was so happy it's Friday! As soon as I got home I turned on the T.v. After days of hard work I could finally-

"Hailee!"

Oh yeah. I live here. "Kana-Chan. I have no work. I can't go to my friends house. What else is there to do!"

"This just in. The Powerpuff Girls Z are in danger of Mojo Jojo rigging his robot with bombs."

"Miyako..... Miyako!" I yelled. Bubbles was against the ground in a big smoke cloud.

I ran outside and downtown.

"Hailee!" Kaname followed me.

"Miyako," I coughed

"Hailee," she looked at me

Buttercup stoped a blast from coming at us.

"Hailee are you insane!?" her and Kaname yelled at the same time
