Damian's POV

I scowled when the Joker's warehouse came into view. I could only think of what he was doing to Christine, and at thought, I clenched my fist. Todd noticed, and sighed. "We're almost there, demon spawn. Calm it."

I inhaled deeply, calming myself. The plan had to work. It just had to.

We pulled to a stop infront of the warehouse; nodding at eachother, we jumped out, running our separate ways.

I started setting the explosives on any weak spot I could find, making sure there were plenty to cause damage. I heard a loud crack, followed by a scream. 'Christine,' I thought. I quickened my pace; I had to get to her before it was too late.

Christine's POV

I fell to the ground; Joker had released the restraints on me, and I was now crawling for dear life. But the pain I was in made it increasingly difficult.

I had about 3 broken ribs, a broken leg and wrist, and I had a concussion. My vision was blurry, and for a second, I forgot where I was.

"Aw deary," Joker cackled, grabbing me by the arm, dragging me back. "You wanna leave so soon?" Even if I had no injuries, I was depleted of strength. I watched weakly as he pulled out a gun.

"48 hours is up. Looks like they were too late." I closed my eyes, ready for the worst, when all of a sudden, someone I didn't expect to see showed up.

Jason's POV

"Stop!" Joker looked at me, grinning as usual. Christine, well. She looked like shit. Her clothes were blood stained due to her head and multiple cuts bleeding. "Red Hood," she questioned weakly. I kept my eye on Joker.

"Well," he smiled. "Where is Robin and the money?" As if on cue, Damian stepped out of the shadows with a briefcase. Joker dropped Christine; she fell with a thud, her head hitting the ground. She was completely knocked out. I ran to her, grabbing her, and pulled her away.

Joker held out his hand, and Damian gave him the briefcase. Joker laughed, hopping around. "I win! Yes!" He opened it, only to be greeted with a detonator that started beeping.

Damian smirked. "Sike," he saluted, and ran out, me close behind. Christine lay limp in my arms, as we ran far from the warehouse. When we were a safe distance, we watched as the warehouse blew, shielding our eyes from the blinding light.

I looked over at Christine, and noticed something odd. She wasn't moving. At all.
------------------------------------
Damian's POV

"Demon spawn call an ambulance!"

I whipped my head to Todd and Christine, immediently pulling my communicator out. Christine lay in a pool of blood; apparently when she had hit her head in the ground, the impact finally made her snap, taking the last bit in energy and life out of her.

Explaining the directions to the medics, I crawled to Christine. Debris from the warehouse were now falling dangerously close to us, as we tried to help Christine. I could hear the ambulance close by, but all of a sudden, the world went black. The last thing I heard was Todd yelling my name, and instructing the paramedics.

Then nothing
