No hope

30 5 3

Hope.
We want in life,
But,
We Cannot get it.

Fire.
In our eyes,
Adrenaline,
For our soul.

Futility.
It is,
To be more,
Than what we are.

Problems.
We face,
People,
Who want control.

When.
We need to fight,
There's competition,
The weak are knocked down.

Scorn.
We face,
By those in power who control,
Who don't understand.

Decisions.
We make,
Yet we struggle,
We go in too deep.

Impossible.
To get out,
Freedom is too difficult,
Not without a price.

Life.
It's precious,
But,
We gamble it away to be more.

Overloaded.
We cannot take it,
Us humans,
Even though we try.

So,
Why try when,
When we know,
It'll end us.

Thrill.
Our species get,
From danger and from a rush,
Until it's all too late.

We.
Cannot go back on our word,
Even when,
We as a species are good at it.

No hope.
In our home,
Not when,
We destroy it.

No hope.
The hope is gone,
Ripped away,
Like our souls and our selves.

One choice.
We must make,
We must stick by it,
To not feel regret and change it.

Because.
When you do,
It'll be too late,
Too late.
