addictive intoxication

New places and new settings
Means new faces and new you,
More people means more acting And more aching to hide.

New pains resonates your body and heart, more unwanted scars embed deeper and deeper in your mind.

An unfathomable hurt to hide yourself but a need to break free,
To show your sorrowfully blue heart trapped in your pain.

A burst of unquenchable light to heat it ever so slightly,
But a long drawn memory stops its little burst of freedom.

Like a tyrant it dictates how your heart is dictates your feelings,
Entrapping you like a small fearful bird while it wails in pain.

Yet all that good for nothing tyrant does is laugh in scorn,
Full of a hateful disdain and horrid hostility that blackens it.

It's a contagious and irreversible disease that grows deep in one's being,
It cuts deep like a thorn and drips with an addictive intoxication.

Yet it's in the form of a sweet and innocent flower,
It traps you with a burning desire before it tears and destructs you and your sanity.

And no amount of remedies or antidote will remove the poison,
Once in your weak veins
It'll stay there forever.
