Diamonte stood by Carrie as the music blasted throughout the center. It was her and Bar 18th/17th birthday, even though it was just her birthday they always had a party together because that's what their mother used to do. Bibby rented out a room in the place for those two and had the place decked out with gold and pink in honor of their favorite color. Diamonte honestly didn't want to have a party but she went for Bibby. Everybody was excited, so many people came to the center ready to have fun the night before the football championship game. The line was all the way down the street with people wanting to get in. And since the building was full to capacity someone turned on their radio and the party was continued down stairs.
"Happy birthday bitch." Carrie yelled hugging Diamonte for the fifth time tonight. "You're really eighteen now."
"Yeah." Diamonte wasn't in the best mood but she tried to not show it. So every time somebody came up to her and pinned another twenty on her pin she gave them a fake smile and gave the fakest thanks she could issue out. "Bitch, what's your problem?"
Diamonte felt weird, like something was going to go wrong and the more she looked around the building trying to find a face out of place, the more paranoid she got. But she didn't say anything, she looked at the smile she saw on her brothers face as he walked around with his birthday boy slash on his body.
"Rap with me birthday girl.." Bibby said wrapping his arm around her neck with the microphone in his head. "Bibby moveee." She said pushing his hand but Bibby insisted on having her rap with him. It didn't help any that she knew the lyrics to the song playing so it didn't take long before she started rapping along, "Traps for no reason.. yeah blow racks for no reason, gotta feed niggas the crack cause they fiending, I was out chasing them stacks while they dreaming.."
"This my baby y'all, she know it better than me." Mally was dj-ing while Herb and Lil Bibby took turn with the microphone going back and forth rapping what the crowd liked. Her mood was lightened when Bibby came over but it changed when she noticed Damien walking into the building with Laytone.
"Hey baby girl." Damien gave Diamonte a hug and whispered in her ear, "I have your birthday present but I'll give it to you later ion want these little niggas all in your business." Diamonte was happy to see her dad but she knew Bar would feel the complete opposite.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to wish my kids a happy birthday."
Bar approached them very heated, "Kids? Diamonte I know you didn't invite this nigga to OUR party!"
"Just chill Bar, he's still your father." Diamonte knew this wouldn't end well, which is why she never wanted the party to happen in the first place.
"My father? Man.. that nigga ain't shit but a bitch ass nigga."
Laytone decided to step in, "You talking real wild right now little nigga."
"Nah let him talk." Damien said smirking, "Obviously he's hurt."
"Hurt about what? Nigga ion need shit from you, nor does my sister, so get the fuck out. I been told your ass that."
"Aye man this supposed to be a birthday party, if y'all got issues to solve do that shit another day." Bibby said stepping into the drama. He spent a lot of money trying to make this day special for Diamonte, and under no circumstances will he let Bar or Damien ruin it for her. "Listen Damien I'll call you later.. okay?" He nodded his head as him and Laytone left the party. Bar was still furious, when Diamonte turned around she could see his face turning red, "You still talking to that nigga?"
"Now is not the time to have this conversation." Diamonte grabbed her brothers hand and pulled him into an empty bathroom as the party continued.
"I understand that you don't trust Damien and you still have a lot of animosity towards him but I couldn't continue to hold on to that hurt, I had to let it go because I can't be mad anymore about something that'll never change."
