After being woken up at yet, another ungodly hour of the day by mommy dearest and having her stuff oatmeal down my throat, I found myself craving a few laps at the pool. After managing to finish my breakfast and laugh mockingly at how Izzy gagged every time he took a spoon full of mom's delicious cooking, I had rushed up stairs to change into my one piece bathers and put on a shirt and shorts on top, packing up my swimming back and rushing back down stairs and bidding my dear family fair well.
It was about a 5 minute walk from my house to our nearest aquatic centre, which gave me enough time to listen to a few upbeat songs on my phone and prepare myself for my swim. Swimming had always been my go to comfort activity. Not because I was good at it or anything. Trust me, I had been swimming for a long time but I was no where near top performance at olympic level or somewhere near just yet (not like I expected myslef to be there... okay maybe I did). I just did it mostly out of pure enjoyment and the feeling I get from being under water. It's like there is no place for any of the worries and problems I am running away from down there. Just me and the water.
Once I made it in to the center, I plopped down on one of the bleachers, putting down my bad and began to take off my overalls, leaving me in my speedo swim suit. When I had finished tying up my hair ina tight bun and putting on my goggles, I walked over to the nearest empty lane and jumped in, feeling the cool water slap against my skin, and the smell of chlorine hitting me.Time to swim baby!
I started off, pushing my self off the wall and doing the dolphin for as long as I could, until I needed to come up for air. I slowly started to lift my arms one at a time in their correct movements, freestyling. As I progressed up the lane, so did my speed and before I knew it, I was unaware of the outside world. Everything forgotten. Just me and the water.
Well that's what I thought you know... until my head hit something hard that is.
Did I reach the other side of the wall already? But that can't be, I would have seen it.
Startled, I stop swimming and look up to see what had interuppted my 'me' time.
More like who are you?
I stared as the boy infront of me realized what had happened and turned around to see me trying to keep my self afloat in the not so shallow water now. How is he just standing there so effortlessly?
"What just happened?" I asked him not knowing what else to say to the insanely gorgeous boy infront of me, with slightly long black hair and the cutest smile I had ever seen. Wait why are you smilling at me?
"You bumped into me while swimming I believe," he said cooly with the smile still on his face. Okay buddy now you're getting annoying.
"Are you swimming laps?" I asked trying my best to sound not out of breath.
"No?" he replied slightly confused. That's it.
"Seriously?! If you're not going to swim laps then why the hell are you standing so still like a dead cow in the middle of the lane inturupting my swim?! Can you not see the signs clearly saying that the single lanes are for people who are swimming laps and are not just lazing around the pool with nothing better to do with there lives?" I screamed at him with my hands in the air, showing my annoyance.
Gosh why was I acting like such an ass to him for no reason?
Is it that time of month again? No it can't be... It's probably that oatmeal mom fed me. Yeah that's right, oatmeal.
Is it because he's shirtless and hot?
Wait what?!
Pretty boy just stared at me with his mouth wide open with a look of surprise and confusion, which he quickly got rid of with his annoying cute smile once again.
