21. Promise

The past few days have been a whirlwind of crazy. After I met Jody - as Promise and not pretending to be Chloe - she kicked Blair and Alec out so she could get to know me. Chloe and I decided not to tell Jody that we had switched places. We figured it would be hard to convince her that it was a good idea, considering that switching places didn't really help us accomplish anything, except get boyfriends.

We talked for hours, about how I grew up, about my family, my favourite foods, movies and TV shows. By the time we were done talking, it was way past midnight so i ended up spending the night. We set up camp in the middle of the living room.

The days after were filled with lots of confusion for everybody. First Jody kept mistaking me for Chloe, then we went and filled Jasmine and David in on me being Chloe's sister, and they kept mixing us up as well.

And now, finally, I was on my first real date with Alec.

He picked me up in the car he won on the first fight I saw him in, and we went out of town to a fancy restaurant that I didn't think he could afford, but despite me saying I would pay for the meal, or at least half, he would not budge.

"I can't believe all that has happened this past week." I said as we dug into our meals. I ordered chicken parmesan, and he ordered steak.

"It's been pretty crazy. But let's forget that tomorrow I have a fight, and you have to go back to your  fancy rich school. Let's just enjoy our time right now." Alec said.

I laughed. "Wow, where the hell did that come from?" He shrugged his shoulders and smiled. "You're right though. I've kind of been waiting for this moment since we shared that kiss in that disgusting bathroom."

"Wow, that feels like it was a year ago, but it was like what, a month ago?" Alec said, eating more of his steak. "This is so good." He said with a mouth full.

"You know, even though switching places with Chloe didn't help us find our parents, only helped us figure out who they were, I'm glad I met you."

"Where the hell did that come from?"

I shrugged my shoulders and smiled.

Chloe.

"I can't believe you have a twin sister!" Jasmine said for the fifth time. We were sat in the coffee shop waiting for Blair to arrive.

   "Yeah, I know. It's crazy."

"What I really can't believe is that she pretended to be you and I didn't even know! I should have known, I feel like such a bad friend."

"You're not a bad friend Jasmine. I feel like the bad friend. I should have told you about Promise from the beginning." I said.

She shook her head at me. "I understand why you didn't."

"Hey girls." Blair said as he slid into our booth beside me, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek. "What are we talking about?"

"How Chloe and I are bad friends." Jasmine said. Blair turned to look at me with a questioning look on his face.

   "Don't ask." I laughed.

"I can't believe this whole thing is over." Blair said. "It's been crazy, but I'm going to miss it."

"I just can't believe that out of all that, you still didn't get to meet your real parents." Jasmine said.

"It sucks, but I feel okay. It was like, before I always felt like something was missing. And I always thought that was my real parents, but ever since I found Promise, I feel whole. Like she was the one missing, my other half. And now we're a whole."

"Wow, that was really deep." Jasmine whispered.

"I'm just glad I met you." Blair whispered, looking into my eyes.

    "Me too."

The End!!!

Thank you so much for reading! I have written lots of short stories, but this is the first story that I have ever finished!

If you have read this far, or commented or voted for this story, THANK YOU! I appreciate it a lot!

I know that this story probably has some plot holes, spelling mistakes and grammar issues, I'm not the best writer. It's a hobby of mine to write, and this is the first story that I have ever finished. I can only get better from here!

I hope you follow me, and follow my other stories! My first ever short story to be posted on wattpad will be posted in the month of September! It's called His Last Words. I really think you will enjoy it!

Thanks again so much for reading,

And just in case anyone wants to know, I will not be writing a sequel to this story, but I may post an epilogue chapter at some point. Don't get your hope up though because I'm working on a new story that I really love right now. It doesn't have a title, but I think it will be a story that lots of girls can relate to!
