It was an easy day today. Kris and Susie had begun their homework together and it was turning out well. Kris was assigned partners with Susie for the class project, both of them were dedicated to complete it.
Well, mostly Kris. Susie helped a little here and there.
Kris was walking down the hall towards his locker when he heard footsteps catching up behind him and a hand on his shoulder. "Hey! Kris!" a voice greeted from behind him.
Kris turned around to see Susie looking down at him, her eyes peeking through her long bangs. "Yo, are you free today?". Kris blinked and replied, "Yeah, what for? The project?".
"Psh, nah, it's Friday, I ain't working on homework on the weekend!" she laughed. Susie seemed more relaxed with Kris after venturing the Dark World with him. They planned to return again later on their school break to visit Ralsei and Lancer.
"I... uh... wanted to know if it'd be cool if I chilled with you... at your house..." Susie mumbled from behind her hair, Kris swore he could see a faint blush dust across her cheeks.
"N-nothing weird! Just hanging out and playing video games or something...!". He sighed and smiled. "Sure. Wanna walk home with me?".
Susie was caught off-guard by his question, flinching slightly as a visible blush scattered across her face. She inhaled, trying to keep her cool. "Y-yeah, sure. Your mom can make us a pie, too. Hers is the best.". Kris nodded, Susie, following him back to his locker then out the front doors of the school.

Susie stayed quiet the walk up the hill. Kris looked back at her as they walked. Susie stared at her shoes, kicking small pebbles. "You're awfully quiet today. Something wrong?" he asked. Susie's head shot up, her hair swishing back over her eyes. She averted her gaze, sputtering out a few words. "I'm fine.". Kris shrugged, walking up the driveway to his mother's house as Susie followed behind him. He opened the door, stepping inside. "I'm home...!".
"Ah, Kris! Welcome home! How was school?" a familiar voice chimed from the kitchen. "Good. I brought a friend along with me if that's okay." Kris smiled, walking through the doorframe to the kitchen where the sweet scent of Toriel's famous pie lingered. Susie peeked around the corner, looking up at the white goat. "Hi, Mrs. Kris's mom.".
"Hello, Susie! How have you been?" Toriel said cheerily, taking off her pink checkered apron to hang on the edge of the kitchen chair. "Okay, I guess." Susie shrugged, looking down at her feet. "You two are right on time, I just finished making pie!" clapped Toriel, "Would you like some, Susie?". The purple monster looked up from her feet, a small grin appeared on her face. "...Yeah, sure.".

"I've got a couple video games we could play, Asriel left his old games in some boxes, too," Kris said, walking up the stairs with a plate of half-eaten pie in hand. Susie followed close behind with her own plate. "You got any shoot-em-up games?".
"Asriel might have some. We can check out some of his games he collected.".
"...Cool." Susie mumbled.

Kris finished and set his empty plate aside, bending down and dragging a box out from under Asriel's desk. He sat down and wiped away the dust that had collected on top. Susie sat down across from him, taking a bite out of her slice. He opened the box, dust flying.
Inside were many comic books stacked neatly of different genres. Superheros, Sci-Fi, and Thriller themes. Old video game cartridges lay wrapped up to keep protected. Susie sat up, almost choking. "Awe, this is sick, dude! How many comics does he have?!". Kris, taken aback by her excitement shrugged and started pulling comics and cartridges out. "No telling. He collected them for years and left them here for me after he left for Uni. Mostly 'cause he had too many to take along with him.". He looked up to see Susie, trying to contain herself as she quickly sorted through the comics he set out in the pile. "He sounds pretty chill. He likes this kinda stuff?".
"I guess. He's into any kind of comic or video game there is to find!" Kris laughed. Susie stopped and blushed, hiding her face. He's so cute when he smiles, she thought. She shook her head, turning back to Kris who was now busy unwrapping cartridges in search for an interesting game. She watched him as she finished her pie.
Kris pulled a cartridge out of its packaging, big bold text displaying on the front:
'Atari Combat'
"Found it!" Kris announced triumphantly, holding it in the air like his sword from the Dark World. Susie snickered, stacking her empty plate on top of his.
Kris slid the cartridge into place and turned the game on. He slid a controller across the floor towards Susie. She picked it up. "Ready, player 2?" Kris smirked. Her cheeks flustered a light pink, gripping the remote. She held herself back. "Yeah.".

"HA! 5 to 2! I won again!" Susie exclaimed, throwing her arms up above her. Kris sighed, then chuckled, setting the remote down. "Yeah, yeah, you won again. Big deal. You always win!".
"Don't I?" she smirked.
"Yeah, you're much better at fighting than me 'cause you're so cool and strong!...".
They both stopped, Kris blushed slightly.
"...Y-you're just mad because you lost again! Admit it!" Susie stuttered awkwardly, not being used to compliments.
"Never!" Kris cackled, jumping up and over Susie towards the door. "Hey! Get back here you little punk!!" Susie laughed, chasing him down the hall and the flight of stairs.
Toriel flinched, the two speeding past her whilst shouting and laughing. Susie chased him a few laps around the table, then into the living room. "Children! Be careful! I don't need anyone getting hurt!" the goat called out to them. They, of course, were too busy playing to notice her.
She chased him across the living room, back through the kitchen and all the way back to his room. Susie let out a war cry, tackling Kris down onto the floor and pinning him by the chest. He reacted quickly, swiftly twisting around and tossing her down and throwing himself on top, now pinning her wrists and legs down. She was too worn out to fight back.
They both laid there, catching their breath before realizing the position they'd been caught in together.
Susie blushed wildly and visibly, staring up at Kris with her yellow tinted eyes. Kris blushed and stared back, both of them unable to move.
A few brief moments of staring passed, before one of them finally spoke.
"K-Kris! Let goooo!!" she squeaked, her voice shaking. Kris blushed harder at the awkwardness of her voice. He let go, still straddling her. She sat up quickly without thinking, meeting face-to-face with him. They both stopped, their breathing shallow as their eyes met once again.
In the heat of the moment, they both slowly leaned in towards each other. Susie trembled under him, fumbled. His hand crept over hers, his fingers carefully intertwining. She grasped his hand back, breathing out slowly as their noses touched.
Their lips got closer and closer, just inches away from...
"Susie, your mom is here to pick you up!" Toriel's voice called from downstairs. The purple monster flinched, pulling back as they both blushed. She let go of Kris, not realizing she had been holding onto him. Kris grinned behind his hair, "Hey. Maybe we can hang out again sometime soon?" he said quietly, rubbing her arm. Susie didn't say anything, she only got up and walked quickly to the door.
She stopped in the doorway, facing the hallway.
Susie looked over her shoulder to him."Sure. How about tomorrow?" she mumbled softly.
Kris nodded, still sitting on the floor. She nodded back, walking out and downstairs where her mother stood by the front door. She sighed under her breath.
