Chapter 13: Bad News

"Codykins! We're back!" Cody's mom said as she walked into the house.
"Oh, hi mom" Cody replied "yeah, hi pig" Junior said
Cody elbowed him.
"Look what we got!" Cody's mom told the boys while holding some sort of box.
"What it is?" Junior asked. Cody groaned "Oh no.."

"It's a Jewish game" Cody's mom replied "you see this man the front of the box? His name is (insert name here) and he saved us from the natzi cheeseburger-"
"That never happened mom!" Cody said "it's just the board game Monopoly!"
"Don't be silly Cody, now let's lay the box on the table and-"
"Actually mom I can't" Cody replied "I'm spending the night at Junior's house"
"Cody what are you talking about? I never said you co-" Cody covered Junior's mouth
"So yeah.. I can't play Monopoly tonight" Cody said

"Oh well I guess that's okay then Cody" Cody's mom replied "just make sure your back in time for Church"
"Ok mom! Bye!" Cody replied and walked with Junior towards the front door.

Once they were outside Junior looked at Cody in confusion.
"Ok why did you tell her your were spending the night at my house?" Junior asked
Cody sighed. "She does this every time she gets back from one of her meetings, she always brings home a new board game and makes up a story about it." He replied "Trust me, it gets boring fast"

"Oh ok, well we better get going, it's getting dark soon" Junior said looking up at the sky
"Yeah let's go" Cody replied and started walking.

When they got home Chef Pee Pee walked up to them
"Junior! You didn't tell me Cody was coming over!"
"Sorry Chef Pee Pee. I actually didnt know he was coming here either.." Junior replied

Then Bowser walked downstairs. He glanced at Junior and then looked at Chef Pee Pee
"Did you tell him?" he asked

"Tell me what?" Junior replied curiously
"Well Junior it's not.. good news" Chef Pee Pee said
"What do you mean?" Junior asked
"Well Chompy..." Chef Pee Pee started
"Chompy? What's wrong with Chompy? Is he sick? Where is he?" Junior replied suddenly getting worried

"Well.." Chef Pee Pee "Chompy is..."
"Dead." Bowser said
"WHAT!?" Junior and Cody said in unison
"N-no he's lying..right?" Junior asked Chef Pee Pee

Chef Pee Pee just sighed and looked at him.
Junior looked at Cody and then began sprinting upstairs
"Junior! Wait!" Cody called following him

Junior ran upstairs into his room and slammed the door.
Cody ran to the door and tried to open it, but it was locked.
Cody knocked. "Junior? Junior?" Cody said "Junior please let me come in"
There was no answer.

Then Chef Pee Pee came upstairs.
"He won't come out of his room" Cody told him
Chef Pee Pee tried knocking, talking to him, and even tried breaking the door but Junior still wouldn't come out of his room.

"Cody I think you should go home, he needs some space" Chef Pee Pee told Cody
"O-ok" Cody said and walked up to the door "Bye Junior.."
