Elena.
"What did he say?" Nicole asked quietly, as Amy and I looked up at her. She had been in bed for the past three days and that was the first full sentence she had said all day.
"W-What?" I stuttered, blinking at her. "Who, sweety?"
"Blaise." she stated, not removing her gaze from mine. "I know you spoke to him after what happened up here."
"He -" I hesitated, looking from the heartbroken Nicole to the pissed off Amy.
I was hesitating because, in the past few months, both of these ladies had suffered enough. Recently lost those who they thought was 'the one' and I watched with guilt as they both attempted to tackle this shit on their own.
"- He what?" Nicole pressed, pulling a blanket over her legs as she began to play with that cursive B necklace.
"He said that it was for the best." I swallowed hard watching her eyes begin to glisten.
"For the best," she repeated, nodding a little as her gaze finally dropped to the tip of her knees, which were pulled into her chest. "how?"
"Well," I sighed, finishing painting my toenails and turning my full attention on her. "between them going to these deatheater meetings and everything that happened a few months ago...he thought it was best."
"What about all that shit he's been hiding?" interjected Amy, as Nicole's eyes shot over to Amy's curiosity and then pressed back into my eyes with almost a pleading nod.
"He is hiding something," I stated, dropping my gaze. "He wouldn't even tell me."
"And Draco...?" pressed Nicole, looking more concerned.
"Also...hiding something." I frowned, lowering my gaze.
"You know why they keep going to the deatheater meetings?" Amy broke in. Nicole and I moved our gaze on her as she rose and began tearing up some papers - my guess, something between her and Weasley. "They're keeping an eye on us."
"You're getting paranoid there Ames. " I stated, shaking my head.
"Paranoid, or completely aware?" she smirked, pointing at me then glancing at Nicole. "Think about it, we go through all that bullshit," She turned to Nicole. "you almost were stabbed to death by your 'boyfriend's' dad...you know as much as I do, if he wanted out of that fucking mirror he would have gotten out."
Nicole's gaze just dropped.
"Draco," She started, turning to me and I just swallowed hard. "someone had to have snitched to the deatheaters and told them to attack days earlier than their original timeline called for -"
" - that could've been Snape." I spat, as Amy shook her head. "Pansy...Derrick...any of them."
"Why did they look so fucking guilty when it was brought it?" smirked Amy, as she glanced at Nicole, implying Blasie had something to do with it too.
Nicole opened her mouth to speak, but silence fell between us.
"Off topic," I cleared my throat looking past Amy to Nicole. "you don't happen to have a photographic memory, do you?"
"W-Why?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, my dearest cousin burnt up the letter and we found a weird symbol faded onto it..." I shrugged, as Amy turned to Nicole - although annoyed we changed the subject - interested.
She shot a small grin, leaned over and pulled a notebook out of her nightstand and flipped to a page within the middle of the pages and flopped it on her mattress face up.
