Amy.
"...so we're just going to leave them...here, unprotected?" I protested into the night as I caught confused looks from both Elena and Nicole. "All because you've caught some feelings for Will?"
"No, because they're untrustworthy," smirked Elena, causing my eyes to cut her way then they rested back on Nicole, who just crossed her arms an leaned against the bookcase.
"What's really going on Nicole?" I pushed, as Elena's eyes seemed to hesitate, but they cut right into Nicole with the same questionable expression. "Is this about their interpretation of those parchments?"
Nicole shrugged slightly as her gaze dropped. "You know what they basically mean right?" She inhaled and exhaled, as she did this we could hear her nerves shiver. "It means I have to die in order for all of you guys to survive."
"No, it doesn't," smirked Elena, shaking her head. "It could mean something else, you know how metaphoric they use to be back in the day."
I couldn't help but snort at Elena's optimism.
"Maybe," sighed Nicole, suddenly kicking herself off the wall and catch our attentions. "We need to move though, before they figure out where we are."
"I'm surprised you're not wanting to go save Ella, you know - you're mum." I crossed my arms and began to kick my dangling legs hanging off the desk I was sitting on.
"I refuse to acknowledge the bloodline right now." Nicole shot at me. "Please, at least in the morning."
"On one condition, we speak to the guys first..." Elena insisted.
"...what is so fucking important about these dickheads?!" growled Nicole, shaking her head.
"They saved our asses, and -" I paused, feeling my gaze drop as their eyes landed on my hesitate figure. "- and they're cute." I giggled slightly and let a smooth and slow grin fade onto my lips and then released the brief moment of bliss as I realized they were both staring at me.
"You like Mike, don't you?" smirked Elena, nudging me playfully as Nicole had a blank expression.
"Kind of, he's sweet." I shrugged and then felt my heart break a little and as my gaze dropped again, Nicole finally had something to add.
"Don't let that Red headed traitor hold you back."
"Traitor?" I growled, locking eyes on her and rising to my feet as Elena slowly slid between the two of us.
"Yeah, in more than one way Amy, honestly. I never liked Ron, he was tolerable for you - that's it. He's a full traitor now though, he cheated on you with Granger." She shook her head and looked back up into my hurt eyes. "I never thought I'd agree with something that came out of Malfoy's mouth like that, but I do - now. Seeing your pain..."
"...what Nicole is trying to say..." sighed Elena, shaking her head slightly as she turned fully on me. "...you deserve to be happy and yeah it was a really shitty thing for Ronald to do to you, of all people - but you deserve to try and find that happiness again...and maybe its time to consider -"
" - looking for it in someone else's heart." Nicole finished her sentence, then she approached us and pulled me into a hug. "But if you find that you're meant to be the Ginger, we'll support you."
I smiled, pulling her into a hug and then sliding the remaining length of my arms around Elena as well.
"Now, we'll speak to the dickheads tomorrow morning, if they want to go with us -" Nicole sighed heavily as we started out of the locked random classroom we were hidng in. " - fine, but they'll need to listen to us and only us...no hidden agendas or anything."
Elena rolled her eyes with a slight nod, as I found myself stopping at the overgrown doorway that lead to the front of the school.
"Amy, are you coming?" asked Elena, stopping and turning back as Nicole took a few more steps but did the same.
"Yeah, I'll be along." I nodded as they both shot me a smile and disappeared into their Great Hall, where all six of us were sleeping - bettering together than separately.
Safety in numbers.
I dropped to one of the stairs and began to think of Ron.
What Nicole and Elena had just said.
They were right.
I had enough to deal with anyway, I had killed my Aunt and Cousin - one of my best friends.
Why the hell was I letting a guy get my mind and heart so tangled?
Mike was sweet and maybe there really is something there, but I need to move on from....me.
I frowned at the thought.
I was a now borderline on the run with my two best mates, and we were meant to help Potter save the world.
Go figure. Someone none of us really could stand.
I felt a wave of guilt come over me as the memory of mine and Mike's time in the field back at the safe house came flooding into my mind.
Why the fuck would I feel guilty for that?
Ron cheated on me.
With Hermione Granger.
...who else...?
No, I wasn't going to allow Ronald's existence to be any type of what I choose to do with my life, whether that's starting a flame with Mike or simply working on myself.
Not sure which to do, even though due to the recent deaths that I caused...
I sighed heavily and made my way into the Great Hall and try and sleep on it, and with a glance over Mike's handsome figure, my heart fluttered a little.
"Maybe..." I whispered and slide into my sleeping bag. "...maybe."
A/N : I apologize this chapter is so short and I haven't been publishing a lot lately. I've started this new PT job - but they have me on 2nd shift hours, which is most of the creative part of the day for me. I'm exhausted when I get home and on my days off, I'm so busy with housework and bills - please forgive me...but here is a little bit for Miss Amy Parkinson, more to come as soon as I get the time and energy for it! Thank you for your loyalty and patience.
