Chapter 20: A Broken Heart

Nobodies P.O.V

The next morning Jason woke up to a loud knocking on his door.

When he answered he saw Terry standing in front of him with a mischievous grin on his face.

"So you're my new brother?" Terry says looking him over.

"Yeah, I guess so. I'm Jason Todd."

"I'm Terry Wayne. Anyway as nice as this is I didn't come for introductions. Mom told me to get you for breakfast."

Jason nodded his head and followed Terry to the dining room where Dick, Bruce, Percy, Alfred, and Connor were already seated.

"Nice to see Terry did what he was told without getting distracted," Percy says before standing up and pulling out a chair for Jason.

"Thank you." He says quietly.

"It's nothing," Percy said waving it off. "Oh this is one of my sons Connor he's also apart of the young justice team."

"Hi." Jason waves shyly which Percy found adorable.

"Hey." Connor says before stuffing his face with pancakes trying to eat away a broken heart.

After I made him a plate filled with bacon, pancakes, and sausage I placed it I front of him.

"After breakfast I'm taking Jason shopping if you want to go speak now or forever hold your peace." Percy says addressing everyone at the table.

"I'll go." Dick says chewing on some of his pancakes.

"Me too." Connor seconds.

"Yeah sure......why not." Terry says.

"I won't be able to make it." Bruce says kind of disappointing Percy. "I have some things I need to get done at the office."

"Okay." Percy said before turning back to Jason. "So Jason what do you like to do for fun?"

"I like weapons." He says slowly. "I like to practice with them."

"So do I." Percy says doing a mini cheer. "We can be sparing buddies. Oh and I can text Roy."

After breakfast Percy looked over to a silent Connor who was moping in his chair.

"Jason, Terry, Dick go upstairs real quick I'll be right with you." She says never taking her eyes off Connor as she goes to sit by him. "What's wrong Con?"

"I broke up with M'gann and  I don't think I'll ever forgive her for what she's done." He says opening and closing his fist.

"What happened." Percy asked rubbing her thumb over his hand.

"We got in an argument I told her that she was abusing her powers. She'd use her mind powers and afterward the person will never be the same and not necessarily for the better. I was pissed I thought that her love for me was stronger than her needs to do that and I was wrong. She tried to go into my mind and take my memories but I felt her and I stopped it." He says as tears start running down his eyes. "We talked to each other like that all the time. How could she believe I wouldn't feel her touch? It used to be special but now it's tainted disgusting. And two days later she's with Lagoon Boy."

"Oh Connor." Percy says pulling him into a much-needed hug rubbing circles in his back. "It'll be alright you can do so much better. I promise."

"I know mom you've never lied to me." Connor says.

"I declare today a fun day. We'll all go shopping, out to eat, beat up guys or do what ever you guys decided."

"Thanks mom."
