Chapter 31: Go Try Again

Nobodies P.O.V

"Since it's been four months would you like to know the gender of your baby?" Apollo asked the couple.

"Yeah." They say together.

"Congrats baby cousin you and Bruce are having a.............."

"Apollo if you don't spit it out I swear to all the Gods and Goddess's I will drown you!" Percy threatens sitting up from her laying position.

"Sorry sorry you're having a baby girl," Apollo says smiling brightly unlike Percy.

"YES!" Bruce yells pumping his fist.

"NO!" Percy yells glaring at the sky hoping that's where the fates where.

"What do you mean no?" Bruce ask.

"Yeah um I'm going to just......bye," Apollo says quickly leaving the middle of a war zone.

"What do you mean no?" Bruce repeats.

"I didn't want a girl! I wanted a boy we have to try again." Percy says pulling her husband to the bed trying to unbuckle his pants. "We have to try again now."

Bruce couldn't help but laugh at his frantic wife. You can't try to have another baby without having the first one.

"What the Hades is so funny?! And why are you still dressed!"

"Percy.....Percy....Percy." Bruce says taking her face in his hands. "When you have our little princess we can try again."

"But girls are so weird they like shopping, and makeup, and princess all things I hate," Percy says wanting to cry. "We won't have a good relationship and she'll hate me because she'll be weird and we'll have nothing in common."

By now Percy was sobbing into Bruce's shirt and he had realized this was because of her hormones. So he let her cry before deciding enough was enough.

"You will be a great mother and I promise she won't hate you. She might not even be a girly girl I mean you obviously aren't and she'll be our daughter." Bruce says rubbing Percy's back.

"You really think so?"

"Yeah of course," Bruce says.

To be honest Bruce didn't know what to think. He didn't have to ability to see into the future and he was kind of hoping there daughter didn't turn out like their boys.

If playing with Barbie's, braiding hair, and shopping kept her from being a superhero/ vigilante like him and their sons then that's what he hoped she'd be into.

He'd never say that out loud or around Percy. He didn't need her yelling at him for wanting their daughter to be a girl.

'But then again If I get her into boy things and dress her like a boy with long hair the boys at her school will just assume she's a dike then I'll never have to worry about boys.' Bruce thinks to himself. 

When Bruce hears snoring he looks down and sees Percy knocked out with her head on his chest.

He gently laid her back on the bed and went to the bat cave where all the boys were waiting for news on their mother.

"Is she okay." Terry says once he sees his father.

"Yeah, she just rushed out of there like she had to pee or something." Jason says earning a smack on the head from Roy.

"Yeah....Yeah she's fine now." Bruce says sitting in the chair facing the bat computer. "Apollo stopped by and we found out the gender of the baby."

"Realy and he didn't stop by and say hi to me I thought I was his favorite." Terry said earning a slap on the head from Wally.

"No we all know his favorite person besides Artemis is Percy." Dick says. "Nice try though."

"Anyway........" Roy said cutting them off before it could turn into an argument. "Baby's gender."

"Please say it's another boy." Terry says crossing his fingers.

"Yeah." All the other boys agree making Bruce groan.

"You sound like Percy." Bruce says. "Sorry boys you're getting a little sister.

"NO!!!!!" They all yell together.

"Now you all really sound like Percy."

"What are you doing down here." Terry yells. "Go try again."

All the boys slapped Terry in the back of the head for that but it wasn't really his fault he never really got the talk.

Percy just told him 'sex is bad and if he had sex his penis would fall off because he was too young.

Terry was pretty sure that wasn't the truth but he didn't want to experiment and find out.

Some risk are just not worth taking and even though he's curious he's only eight.

He'd get his answers when his father leaves.

"Terry." Bruce said trying to shake off his previous statement. "Percy wanted me to ask you what you wanted to do for your birthday next week."

"I'm not sure. I'll think about it and get back to her later."

"Yeah okay that's okay." Bruce says trying to make this less awkward situation. "I'm going to go check on your mother."

As soon as Bruce was gone Terry turned to his brothers ready to get some answers.

"Can I talk to you guys real quick."

"Yeah sure." Wally says shrugging his shoulders.

"Have you all had sex?" He asked the group.

All the boys said yes besides Jason and Kuldur. Kuldur just awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Do you all still have your penis's or did they fall off?" Terry asked looking anywhere besides in front of him.

The boys broke out into laughs laughing so hard they couldn't breathe.

"Of course we still have our penis's." Wally said laughing.

"W-What kind of question is that?" Roy says in between laughs.

"Well mom said 'sex is bad and if I ever had sex my penis would fall off." Terry said cautiously.

The boys stopped laughing immediately.

Terry wasn't an idiot and they knew if Percy found out one of them told Terry the truth or hinted that she had lied (which they did) their mother would have their head.

"Oh..... uh.....we....." Dick says looking at the others trying to figure out what to say.

"So by your reaction and lack of words I know mom lied and you don't want her to know you told me." Terry said before his smirk became a wide grin. "And I won't tell her if you do something for me."

"What do you want us to do?" Kuldur asks raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, you'll see."
