"Alien?" I asked with a small smile. "I like that name. It must suit you well- I'm Qu-"
Alien raised his hand up to me with a smile that radiated it's own glow, "I know who you are, Queen, everyone is talking about the new blood in the building."
"Ah," I said as I looked around the room to see the familiar patterns of others moving with the best of the music. Against one another. Like an epic battle for their lives and their power, "I can't say I know why."
"Talent usually doesn't walk through those doors. In here it is usually created- by one man," Alien looked across the room and pointed out the one I remember as King who was leaning against a wal and watching the dancers with his particular glow, "he is the one who teaches everyone to dance."
I watched Alien's smirk appear over his lips, even though I was barely able to see them, "except for you. You walked in here with no colour, no one to recognise you, and high expectations. You matched the dance king of the underground. That's why you're Queen."
"Does he also name everyone?" I asked him, watching him nod toward King as he spotted him moving towards us.
"He saw me dance once and called me something that was out of this world. Someone with a name like King must have that power." Alien quickly moved to the side as King appeared with his almost blinding amount of patterns.
"Queen," he said with satisfaction rolling across his tongue, "I'm glad to see you here."
"King. Nice to see you again." I told him- half heartedly meaning my words as I didn't have much interest in the man in question.
"Are you excited to get more colour on your skin? I'm prepared to see you glowing and living up to your name." His smile was one that held emotion, as if there were more meanings to his words.
"I didn't know you taught people," I began, "why haven't you taught me anything? You're wasting your time just standing around." I challenged- waiting to see what his reaction would hold.
"You're eager," he commented with a grin, "I like that. I haven't taught you anything because I haven't seen what your limits are. You seem to hold a lot of energy which makes me think you have a lot of time to practice the harder things."
His breath was quick as he whispered his words into my ear- turning his back to the people that danced behind him in the fluorescent light, "the way you move tells me that you've been taught before."
"I have," I quickly spat at him as I moved away from his suffocating presence and straightened myself out, "I know enough to stand out from the rest and-"
"You have talent." He quickly cut in as he grabbed hold of his neck in a desperate attempt to stop his words from spilling out at once, "you're unlike anything that I have ever seen before. That's why I was so confused when you walked into this room."
"I thought it was just the lack of paint upon my skin." I said as I eyed the man with confusion in my eyes as I attempted to understand just what it was that had drawn him to me in the first place.
He chuckled in his own little state of humour before answering me.
"It was a giveaway yes- that I do not deny. But I cannot help but wonder what it was about you that seemed so special. Something so unique that I-"
"Come down to the floor and show us what you have. I'm sure you won't make us wait."
I watched as everyone who wasn't already at the dance floor made tracks there and formed a tight circle as they peered into the inside of it as if they were waiting for something exciting to happen.
King was quick to grab hold of my wrist and pull me towards the circle as he pushed past the crowd and stood in the center with his hand on my shoulder.
"Tonight," he shouted in a mighty voice that silenced the speaking, "we watch the new bloods prove themselves with a dance of their choice. They move as they wish, act as they like- but only one may come out victorious."
He went into the crowd and grabbed onto someone as he pulled them into the ring, standing them next to me as I stiffened in shock.
"Dance for your colour." King stated as he melted into the crowd- quickly slipping from my sight.
I turned and looked to the person who had been pulled into the circle with me- shocked at the face I was met with.
"Alien?!" I asked in shock as I recognised the patterns on his skin, "we have to verse each other?"
He looked calm and collected, something that I definetly wasn't, "well this is perfect. Now you can show me why King is so fond of you."
