((This is the song that will be danced to, up until the 2:04 mark ^ ✌🏻 ))

My heart was going a mile a minute.

How could so many eyes be looking at the same thing? How could I be crumbling under the pressure?

'No,' I thought to myself as I straightened out my body and let out a long and continuous breath before everything in the room seemed to dial down to complete and utter silence. The only thing that I could hear was the pounding of my heart behind to slow down and gradually return to its natural state.

'It's time to do what you came here to do.' I reminded myself and rolled my shoulders back as I cranked my neck and awaited the music to start. The people, all with a different amount of patterns, circled around and gave me enough room to move around freely.

Then I heard the song.

The gentle pitch raises made my body move instantly, stiff movements as I shifted around in the floor. My shoulders gently flicked and arched with the music, my feet allowing my body to create standstil movements as I walked around the floor acting like a robot who was attempting to come to life.

I gently stood up with the beat and allowed my arm to raise to the ceiling as I tried to reach the light. As the music drifted down to the chorus my hand fell along with it. Dropping onto my knees, I dragged myself around in a circle before rolling my head around my shoulders and standing up from rolling my feet as the beat dropped in a dramatic pitch.

Involved in the dance was many jerks of my limbs, making it look as if I had no fluid movement at all. It looked as if some of my limbs were unable to bend. As I twisted and turned around on the dance floor, I bodyrolled on the pitch drop before dramatically coming back to life with a backwards handspring and landing it with ease as I spun around and faced the stranger that had pulled me onto the floor as the music faded away.

Panting I looked to him with a flick of my brows as sweat glistened my brows. He looked stunned from what I could see, his eyes themselves were able to dance over me as he judged my character.

"King!" A voice chimed from the crowd, the stranger turned his head as he listened, "we have a talent!"

The one who I now know was called King turned and looked at me before advancing towards me, a person running up to him with a small bowl of glowing paint. He dipped his finger into the paint before gently grasping my chin with his free hand and pulling my face towards him as he gently pressed his finger tip to my cheek and traced a pattern upon it.

"The symbol of power!" King exclaimed out to the crowd who whooped and cheered in return

"The symbol of power!" King exclaimed out to the crowd who whooped and cheered in return. Loud applause filled my ears as everyone gathered around me and patted me on the shoulder with bright smiles. As I observed them I notice that a selected few also had the same symbol that had just been placed on my cheek as well as many others.

King cut through the crowd and grasped my wrist as he dragged me to the side. "You've got talent. You know that right?" He asked me with a smile.

I nodded and laced my hands together as I stood and listened to him speak.

"We have meetings every second night at 6 o'clock. Don't worry about the paint, it is only visible in blue light," he paused and gestured to the lights above us before continuing,"It doesn't wash off and is always going to be there, the password to get in is what your underground name is."

I frowned for a moment before speaking, "I don't have a name though. So what should I do?"

King looked to me for a moment and studied my gaze for a few seconds before blinking and tapping his chin.

"How about Queen?" He suggested without a waver in his voice, being very serious about the name. I scoffed as I rolled my eyes slightly.

"Oh please, you're the King and I am the Queen? That is very cliche of you." I chuckled as King pouted for a moment, but quickly returned to his bright smile seconds later.

"You might just be..." he whispered to me before walking away and disappearing into the crowd. I blinked as I lost him amongst the colour and movement. I stood there for a moment, mesmerised by the movements as people began to initiate dance battles between one another.

I would've stayed and watched all night, but my phone's buzzing interrupted my thoughts and I looked at it to see my landlord texting me and asking where I was. I quickly turned and sprinted out of the underground unit before bursting out of the doors and running back over to my apartment.

"What kept you?" My landlord asked me with a cocked brow as she handed me the keys. I sighed and looked down to my phone screen as I saw that the pattern that was just added to my skin was now no where to be seen. I smiled before slipping my phone away and smiling widely.

"Just looking at the sights."
