They tree jumped for what seemed like hours before she finally stopped considering the young boy following her this time. He quickly got to work preparing camp and setting up for the night.

In no time a fire was lit with a skinned rabbit grilling, she turned to the young boy who seemed focused on the fire.

"Haku, do you know what the mission is?"

The mission? According to Akito-san it was a classified mission and she would tell him if she wished to. Due to the secrecy surrounding the mission Haku had already prepared himself for an assassination mission, or one based on espionage.

He shook his head and she turned to the fire and watched the flames dance around.

"We're going to meet a family member of mine."

"Family?" The kamikage had family?

She smiled happily thinking of the little child she met before it all happened.

"Of course nagato-kun!" She clasped his hands. "We're going to become family!"

"Yes.... My family..."

•°•

Pain's eyes shot open, his back was drenched in cold sweat. Another nightmare, he didn't move but rather just remained in his position, his back on his bed and his arms on his torso. He looked similar to a corpse in a coffin, his purple eyes were dull.

Why did he still dream of such useless things?

"Of course nagato-kun!" She clasped his hands. "We're going to become family!"

Family?

Such a thing that had happened during his childhood, was non existent.

He couldn't boast that he had forgotten about the little girl with beautiful white hair that came with the swordsmen's leader. When he had heard of the new organization created by the seven swordsmen of the mist he couldn't help but look into them and find out the leader was the same blue skinned boy he met as a child.

He has changed, before he seemed to be the happiest kid in the world by her side.

Now....

But could he criticize him? He also lost her, but he still wasn't willing to let go.

Recalling the conversation he had with the shark he clenched his fists.

"Are you really going to let her go?"

He snapped back irritated at the pretty boy, "shut up! You weren't the one who saw a hand Impale itself in her chest!"

He was right, he wasn't there and he didn't wish to be there.

Maybe he just didn't want to believe it, the one person that promised him that they were family was gone just like that, and slipped through his fingers.

Getting up stiffly he walked to a small desk with a letter assigned to him.

"Nagato Kun, if you're reading this then I'm already dead.

I'm sorry...

Wait for me ok?"

That was it, 'wait for her', of course he hadn't told anyone about it wasn't it strange she would say something that weird?

That was his biggest reassurance that she was still alive.

He raised the letter kissing it, "Nee Chan..." His eyes could only stare emotionlessly at the letter while his heart was in turmoil.

"Nagato..."

His head turned to the window, he hadn't noticed that there was a person there, how?

Squatting on the ledge was a familiar face, beautiful white hair and crimson eyes, it was her...

"Nee chan!" He ran body flickered, and hugged her.

This wasn't him, he wasn't normally this warm to anyone, but this was his Nee chan, and seeing her triggered a few memories and tender feelings.

He couldn't help but shake as he silently hugged her, pressing her against him like he was afraid she would soon vanish from his sight again.

"Nee chan..." His voice trembled as his head was buried in her neck, "I missed you" She smiled sadly.

"I'm sorry Nagato, I made you wait long"

Wait for me.

"I'm sorry Nagato..." At this point if it was the her before she would've let out a few passionate tears, but she had abandoned her humanity long ago so what right did she have to cry?

"You're really too mean..."

She placed her hand on his head patting it to comfort him, "I know Nagato" his real body shook crying, she was still alive.

"Why did you leave me then!?" What followed his sadness was anger, "I thought we were family!?"

Family?

"That's why I came back Nagato, we are family."

This was the first time in a long time he had felt this vulnerable, he had missed her so much, the world was too cruel to take her away from him, such a chaotic world, how would she be able to live in peace?

The world did not deserve to keep existing after causing them all this pain.

A/N: I miss Obito Kun too but not yet~
