She spent her time contemplating her next course of action, she had expected Konoha would bring her lots of happy memories but now she only felt bitter, she knew Shisui was dead, she had known for a long time, she had just been waiting to see what Konoha would do. Her disappointment at Minato and Kushina was immense, she wasn't sure how to face them now, she hated them for what happened but Kushina had once made her feel so loved that she didn't know if what she was going to do was the right decision.

"Isobu, I want to go home."

Hidan looked around on the floor, the dismantled bodies scattered around him, and subconsciously picked up the few scrolls in the area. As long as they weren't excessively violent It should be ok.

Hidan could feel that even though he was killing the other participants they were quickly replaced by older ninjas who were using the transformation Jutsu, under the hokage's nose was a battle brewing, he wondered who she would pick to replace the hokage, knowing her it would probably be some useless eye-candy.

~

The Uchihas were quick to adapt, Orochimaru and his followers were already part of the chunin exams so they didn't need to interfere. Tsuki Yomi was planning to overthrow the hokage. Minato was a good man, he was strong on the battle field and would protect his family under any cost, however it was unfortunate that he wasn't strong enough to change the nature of konoha's legal system.

She may have expected too much from him, he may not have even been aware when the attempted massacre happened, his guilt and weakness consumed him to paranoia, he should have sent anbu to them as soon as possible, who expected shisui to be killed by Danzo after the Uchiha escaped? He thought they were safe since the threat of the coup was non existent, but now... The murder had no leads, the evidence was wiped,he couldn't apprehend Danzo for no reason the council would rebel.

Being a leader was the worst mistake he made. He was strong but this sort of situation where he is constantly threading on a thin line was ridiculous.

He had considered resigning but when he thought of how proud Naruto was of him he couldn't bring himself to, or so he convinced himself. The truth is, he wasn't ready, he felt like he had so much to offer, he wasn't willing to give up.

~

Yomi knew what next to do.

[ What are you doing now ]? Madara asked, isobu was asleep so he accompanied her as she roof jumped from house to house.

"I'm going to find Itachi"

[Why?] She didn't answer, she was subtly aware that once Madara's body is resurrected he won't be this nice to her, ultimately the person she was on guard against in this world is kaguya.

She hoped she was wrong, but she had been parading this world was a god without any regard for this world's god.

At this point she just wanted to just leave this world, but... She had people she cared about here.

Why did she think it was a good idea to meddle with everyone's life?
First thing's first, let's make sure Itachi doesn't get himself killed.

He didn't join the akatsuki and retired early from being a ninja, she needed to find him.

It didn't take long to locate him, she was familiar with his chakra which had grown quite a bit since she last saw him, she felt rather emotional when she approached the window of the little apartment he shared with sasuke, she could see him through the window keeping himself busy in the kitchen. She felt her eyes water but she entered the complex, and rang the door to their flat.

Itachi paused, dropping the knife he turned and walked to the door, he reached out and opened it.

[Why did you run away?] madara asked her in confusion as he followed after her jumping in the opposite direction, her bangs covered her eyes so he couldn't make out what emotions she was hiding.

She felt guilty.

"I feel guilty"

[But why? You saved his family and preserved his relationship with his brother and showed him what pretentious pricks the elders were]

"I know"

She knew but she still felt guilty, she couldn't save shisui.

Her only regret since she came to this world was being stupid enough to trust others in protecting people she loved.

[Are you thinking about him again?]

She didn't need to answer, her silence was enough.

~

" Pain looked at the details surrounding the Sōzō and was pleasantly surprised with how far the shark kid had come."

He looked around him the akatsuki were still recruiting, his top options were all working for someone else so he had to compromise.

He sighed as he put away the sheet, this was a difficult spot to be in, she had told him her plans but he was under that man so he wasn't sure how to go about doing this.

She didn't want her existence to be known by him but if she did he would be one of the first people to wait on her hand and foot. He rubbed his temple, what exactly was she planning?

~

The test ended without many hiccups, orochimaru knew to brand sasuke but this brand was slightly different to what he originally envisioned.

They were given a month before the next test, and in that period Tsuki Yomi's job was to make sure their plan to overthrow the hokage was spotless.
