Jameson watched the slight woman as she measured the window frame and grinned. "So you're Chib's old lady? That's pretty awesome."

Freddie grinned and nodded. "Yup. It's never boring, I can tell you that much." She gestured at the window and lifted a brow. "You wanna tell me how this really happened?"

Jamie grinned and shrugged. "Off the Sons radar?"

Freddie nodded. "Of course. I don't have to tell Chibs shit if I don't want to."

Jamie chuckled and nodded. "I like you." She sighed and walked over to reach behind the planter in the corner and held up a rock the size of a brick. "Drug dealer tossed this through my window this morning."

Freddie stared at her in shock for a moment. "And you're not scared?" When Jamie shook her head, she chuckled, shaking hers. "I think I like you too. So what's the plan?"

Jamie shrugged as she put the rock back where it was. "I don't know yet, but I'm pissed, I can tell you that much."

Freddie nodded in understanding as they heard the roar of motorcycles coming down the street. "Well, whatever it is, I'm in. I've been needing a good scrap."

Jamie held a finger up to her lips as Tig, Chibs, Happy, and Jax pulled into her driveway and cut their engines. Tig led the way up the sidewalk as he stared at the huge hole in her picture window. "What the fuck happened here?"

Jamie kept a straight face as he turned to look at her. "A big bird flew into the window."

Freddie nodded as Jamie tried not to laugh. "Yep, big bird. Huge fucking bird."

Tig nodded as he looked at the disbelieving faces of his brothers. "What are the fucking odds of that happening?"

Jamie shrugged as she took a drink of her coffee. "I know, right? Astronomical, I'm sure, but hey, here we are."

Chibs cleared his throat as Jax and Happy looked like they were trying not to laugh. "Freddie?"

Freddie turned an innocent face to her man. "Yes, dear?"

Chibs tried to keep a straight face as he looked at his old lady. "Ye standing with the bird story? Cause this doesn't look like a bird did this damage."

Happy took the toothpick out of his mouth and nodded in agreement. "Where's the bird?"

Jamie looked at the enforcer with a straight face. "It was the damndest thing. He hit the window, flopped over for a minute, then stood up and flew away. A miracle really."

Happy nodded then looked around at his brothers. "Anyone else smell bullshit or is it just me?"

Jamie drew herself up to her full height, which was still short compared to the giants in front of her, and looked offended. "I'm trying not to be insulted in your lack of faith in me, but I gotta tell ya, it hurts." She turned to Freddie, who for her part looked ready to explode into laughter. "How long until I have a window?"

Freddie scratched her chin in thought for a moment. "A couple days, probably. I need to order the glass. For now, I'll board it up so nothing else flies through."

Jamie grinned as Tig took her arm. "Yeah, wouldn't want another kamikaze bird to attack. Can I speak to you for a minute?"

He led her inside as the other guys helped Freddie board up the window. As soon as they were out of eyesight, he pushed her up against the wall. Jamie grinned up at him as he stared down at her. "Well, hello there, big guy."

Tig grinned as he leaned in to kiss her. "I haven't seen you in a few days. I was starting to detox."

Jamie moaned quietly when his hands found her ass and pulled her closer to him. "We've both been busy. It happens."

Tig nodded as his lips found her neck and sucked a mark there. "Yeah, but we need some quality time. How about later tonight?"

Jamie shook her head. "Gotta work. Tomorrow morning?"

Tig shook his. "Nah, got a run to Tacoma." He ground his hips into hers and groaned into her neck. "Fuck, baby. I need you."

Jamie tugged on his hair until he lifted his head to look at her. "Things will even out soon, I promise." She grinned then. "I mean, you've made it ten years, what's a little longer?"

Tig growled at her. "Yeah, but you're back within touching distance now." He pulled back, releasing her so that she could straighten her clothes back out. "Ok, shit... I gotta go. Try to stay out of trouble, huh? No more bird attacks?"

Jamie grinned and leaned up to kiss him. "I'm making no promises." She patted him on the chest. "Be careful, ok?"

Tig nodded, letting his head rest on hers for a moment before stepping back. "You too, doll."

Jamie walked into the club a few hours later to find Wade in her office going over some paperwork. He looked up when she walked in and gave her a small frown. "You ok? I heard that you had some trouble this morning."

Jamie lifted a brow. "Wow, word really travels fast. Who told you?"

Wade shrugged. "I stopped and got coffee this morning and heard two policemen talking about the report you filed."

Jamie just nodded, mentally shelving that for later, because she didn't file a police report and the only other person that knew the real story besides her was Freddie.

Two hours later, after Jamie and Wade had gone over the receipts from the night before and he had left her alone in her office, she picked up her cell and dialed a familiar number.

"Hey, I need to talk to you. When can you meet me at my house?"

She heard Gemma clear her throat and what sounded like a door closing before she spoke. "Anytime, sweetie. I heard about the bird. That what this is about?"

Jamie sighed. "Yeah, and some other things. Can you get the other old ladies together too? We need to have our own version of Church."
