Gemma and Harmony were waiting outside when Freddie and Jamie finally got to the clubhouse. Jamie grinned when she got to them and Gemma pulled her in for a hug. "Larry?"
Harmony smirked. "Back in the loving arms of his husband. I went with Tara to take him home, just in case she needed me. Their reunion was really rather touching."
Jamie nodded, relieved that it was now finished. "The one thing I never doubted was how much Wade loved Larry." She nodded toward the clubhouse doors. "They all in there?"
Gemma grinned and nodded. "Oh yeah, and Tig was getting rather upset that you weren't back yet."
Freddie chuckled and wrapped an arm around Jamie's shoulders. "Come on, partner. It's time for full disclosure. And probably some ass kissing."
Jamie chuckled as they all walked toward the building. "Yeah, you're probably right. There'll be a lot of wounded egos."
Gemma pulled on Jamie's arm, letting Harmony and Freddie go in first as they hung back. "I wanna tell you that I'm proud of you. No matter what you're about to hear from your old man and everyone else's, you did good. You handled it without anyone needing a doctor or a mortician. That's a good day in my book."
Jamie just nodded before they stepped inside. Gemma held up a hand for silence as the men started asking questions. "Whoa! If you'll let her talk, Jamie has something she wants to say, now that everyone is here safe and sound."
There was immediate silence as Jamie cleared her throat and began to tell them what had happened. She started off with what had transpired in the ten years that she had been gone, leading up to what had taken place that day. Tig never once looked up, instead staring at the floor in front of him the whole time. When she was through, Happy was the first to speak up.
"So Wade was holding the murder of his friend over your head to get Darby's drug trade into The Deuce?"
Jamie nodded. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure that if this hadn't gone down today, I wouldn't have been here tomorrow."
Finally, Tig raised his head and speared her with a direct look from those bright blue eyes of his. Eyes that were holding a lot of fury at the present time. "So instead of telling us and letting us handle it, you took it upon yourself to involve the other old ladies? Possibly get them killed?"
Jamie nodded, never breaking eye contact. "Yes. That's the reason Fawn and Dawn were left here today. I didn't want them to possibly get hurt, although I was fairly certain the danger to anyone but myself was minimal. I was the one the needed to get what they wanted, although Darby had threatened you or someone you loved if I didn't give in to him."
Tig nodded. "I see. It never occurred to you that you were one of the people I loved? That it would have killed me to lose... you know what, I don't want to hear any more. Not right now. I'm outta here."
Without another word, Tig stormed out of the clubhouse and momentarily, they heard his bike start up and roar out of the lot. Jamie gave a small laugh and shook her head as she swiped at her eyes. Jax walked up and pulled her into a hug for a moment before leaning back to look down at her.
"He's upset, and understandably so, but... you did good. I'm sure that none of us are pleased that you all did this on your own, but you did and it's handled." He nodded toward the door with a grin. "He'll come around."
Happy spoke up from beside Dawn. "Hey, he should have known. Any woman that can put up with him has to be a badass herself."
Everyone laughed as Jamie just nodded and pointed toward the door. "I'm gonna head home." She looked at Freddie. "Bright and early at my house tomorrow. We'll start going over club business."
Freddie grinned and nodded as Jamie walked outside to her car.

Jamie woke suddenly, her head jerking up when she heard the sound of pounding coming from her front door. She looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table and groaned as she pulled herself out of bed and down the hall. She rolled her eyes when she looked through the peephole and saw Alex standing on her porch, fist raised to pound again.
She opened the door and he strode past her, stopping to take off his boots by the door. "I really need a fucking key."
She glared at him as he started down the hall. "Or maybe you could not come by at 3 a.m."
Alex just snorted as he walked ahead of her down the hall and entered her bedroom. "Where else would I go? You're here." Jamie shook her head as she watched him sit heavily on the bed before pulling off his kutte and unbuttoning his shirt. He held out a hand and she walked over and took it, letting him pull her between his legs so that he could bury his head in her stomach. "Get me a key made, would ya?"
Jamie smirked as his hands landed on her ass and hers went into his hair to run her fingers through it. "There's an extra in the kitchen drawer. Why are you here? You didn't seem to want to be near me earlier."
Alex shook his head against her stomach. "Nah, I was just pissed, and scared, and... I just needed to be by myself for a while, sort shit out in my head, ya know?" He sighed before looking up at her. "I want to talk this out, but not tonight. Can I just hold you tonight?"
Jamie smiled down at him before leaning in to kiss him on the nose. "I think that can be arranged."
"Good." He smacked her on the ass and smirked. "Let's go to bed."
