11:28pm.

"everyone stay calm." jane said loudly, though she was trying her best to keep calm herself. "this is an old hospital. i'll just go fix the problem."

she walked over to the front door where there was a box that controlled all the lights in the building. using her key to open it, she could barely see through the darkness and a shiver ran down her spine when she saw all the light switches were set to off.

quickly shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she flipped all the lights on.

she closed the box and locked it before heading back to the group of girls. on each of their faces was a look of fear except on vienna pricejane knew there was another electric box in the security office and guessed the heiress probably had one of the other guests turn the lights off in order to scare them.

11:45pm.

"miss price," jane insisted, tapping her foot on the tiled floor impatiently, "i need my money."

vienna grinned, wondering for a second why the girl was so urgent on getting out of there. she made her way towards the reception and walked behind the desk. she pulled a black coffin into the waiting room, in everyone's view. they all watched in surprise.

"i told my dad i wanted an exciting birthday party." the rich girl began. "when we heard about this hospital, i just knew we had to do my party here."

"so what's in the coffin?" glenda asked.

"patience, my dear glenda." vienna's grin seemed to get bigger. "i'm not done with my story. basically, it concludes with a question. who's afraid of ghosts?"

nancy scoffed. "there's no such thing as ghosts."

"then you all won't have a problem staying here all night." vienna price added, "if you survive the night, you get one million dollars."

all of the girls in the room nodded in agreement. but the daughter of the owner of the hospital declined the offer. no amount of money would be enough to convince her that spending the night at the old hospital was a good idea.

"no thanks." jane shook her head. "i really need my money now, miss price."

"what's the rush?" vienna asked.

"i want to leave." jane replied.

vienna walked over to the black coffin and popped it open. from it emerged a cloud of smoke and when it all cleared, they saw there were enough guns for each of them.

"what are these for?" susannah asked.

"if the fear's too much for you." the blonde haired birthday girl grinned.

each of them grabbed one, all except jane who still waited to get her check. she thought to wait a few more minutes and then she would leave.

11:55pm.

jane looked down at her watch desperately.

"okay," she huffed in annoyance, "you know what? your party rental of this place is on the house. don't pay me, but i need to get out of here."

"come on." the blonde linked arms with jane, "its my birthday. join us. or are you afraid?"

the brunette gulped. "of course not. i just don't like this place."

around the entire hospital, a loud creaking sound was heard. that was when jane tried to wrench herself out of vienna's grip. when the blonde wouldn't let go, she heard a crank sound followed by metal shutters spring out and starting to conceal the doors and windows.

the other girls in the lobby watched in awe, even the birthday girl.

but jane ran towards the front door. she wasn't able to get there in time and it ended up almost crushing her hand.

when she had no luck with the door, she tried several windows. it was no use, she knew it was midnight and there was no escape. jane banged on the metal shutters, attempting to get them open. from a few feet behind her, vienna asked, "what's going on?"

"we're trapped." jane cried. "we're all fucking trapped in here."
