ANGELICA

Ash left for a while, going to visit Jo and Ellen, while mom and I drank at the bar. We never got to share a drink. She died before I was legal. She looked happy, really happy and beautiful. Like she was younger than herself. I just watched her as she talked on and on about endless Woodstock and Fields of Gold. Then she looked at me.

“So. How are the boys?” She asked. I sighed. Great.

“Well. We stopped the apocalypse. Death helped us. The horsemen. Sam went to hell to save us. And now Dean is with this girl Lisa and a kid Ben. Dad is drinking and hunting I guess. I haven’t gotten a chance to see him, but he prays to me sometimes. Just saying ‘hi, how ya doin’.” I giggled nervously. She nodded watching me knowingly.

“So, you’re an angel now.” She said softly. I nodded nervously and her eyes fell to my necklace. “Well, show and tell girl. Let’s see them.” She said with a grin. I smiled and stood up, slipping off her leather jacket. I took in a deep breath and willed my wings present. There was the sound of chimes and a flash of golden light and there I was, wings and all. I smiled nervously as mom circled me carefully. She whistled when she looked at my back. “Wow. Golden tips? Really? Nice décor.” She laughed. I spun around and saw the back of my wings in the bar mirror.

They were bronze and brown but had black at the base where they met my back and were tipped in gold and shed a sort of soft light. I whistled too and mom laughed. She pulled me into a hug, her arms easily avoiding my wings. I pressed my face into her shoulder and she placed a small kiss in my hair. We sat back down and I told her about everything, absolutely everything that had happened in the past two years. She didn’t seem all that upset with the fact that I had married Castiel, and didn’t seem at all surprised by the fact that I was fighting his war with him.

“When you love someone, really love someone, then you do anything and everything you can for them. They become your world, and everything revolves around them. And that’s okay, because their world should revolve around you. That’s true love.” Mom said with a smile. I smiled at her and she pulled me into yet another hug. Ash ran into the room, covered in whipped cream and a look of pure fear on his face. Jo dashed in behind him and stopped dead when she saw me.

“ANGE!”                                                                                                                                                           “JO!”

We hugged and cried like little kids, but that was okay, because this was heaven, and we were together again. I apologized over and over for not saving her, or getting her back and she just kept telling me to forget it and she was okay and everything was alright. I hugged her as tightly as I could, and never wanted to let go. Then Ellen walked in. I dashed to her side and cried into her shirt and she just hugged me as tight as she could and squeezed me. I eventually stopped being a sobbing wreck and we all sat down to talk and such. It was good, us girls together again, at the Roadhouse. We used to do that all the time. Just meet up and talk and it was good to feel like family again, even if it was dead. In Heaven it didn’t, doesn’t, matter. Family is forever.

“So.” Jo said a length. I blinked.

     “Hum?”

“Did you and Cas get together?” She said excitedly. I blushed and she gasped. “You did! You got together with angel face! HA!” She got up and started doing this stupid dance while Ellen just shook her head.

“The people I raise, I swear. How is it? What is it like dating him?” Ellen asked, trying to be nice. Mom just smiled and winked at me. I grinned and nodded thoughtfully.

“Serious, I mean it’s war out there and I’m helping Cas, and, well, we don’t really go out on dates. I mean, once you get married, dating is sort of-”

“MARRIED!?” Ellen and Jo shouted as one.
