"Dad! We can't move now! My tour starts in two weeks!"

I'm pacing back and forth in my kitchen, panic running through me. Move? Why now? This is coming out of nowhere. I turn back to my father with a frantic look in my eyes.

"Don't worry, I've taken care of everything. We are going to be starting the tour in Boston now and we've changed the dates."

I looked at him in disbelief.  Was anybody going to ask how I felt?

I went up to my room and sat in my closet. It was quiet, and it's the place I went to when I was feeling sad. For some reason, looking at all my shoes gave me comfort.

"Alexa I know you're in here."

I heard my mothers calming voice outside my door. She always knows when I'm up here. She has that motherly sense.

"Hey ma. What do you have there?" I spotted what looked like two mugs and a muffin.

"I brought your favorite. Coffee and a homemade blueberry muffin."

"Mom you know me so well. Thank you." I sipped my coffee and it instantly made me feel better. I can taste the honey in here, she made it just right.

"I know you're stressed out about the tour and we will get through this together. I will do anything to make it better." My mom sat down next to me underneath all my clothes. She started rubbing my back while reassuring me. Usually her words are all I need to calm down, but today I am too flustered.

"The only thing that could make this better is not moving. That's what I'm stressed about, California is all I know. My life is starting to get crazy, and I need a sense of stability."

"I know it's tough being moved at this point, but it's what is best. You know this is good for your fathers job. Plus, the east coast is beautiful." I know it's beautiful, but it's cold! I've never had to endure more than a week of the cold, and that was only on ski trips.

"Mom I don't want to deal with more kids wanting things from me." I desperately wished to be normal, and not who I was. My life was far from normal and I knew that, I knew what the deal was. Being a celebrity isn't for the weak, and I learned that the hard way.

I always loved to sing and mess around with my moms piano, ever since I could remember. When family friends heard me sing, they couldn't help but tell friends of theirs about me. That friend was an agent, and from that moment on I've been singing professionally.

I started playing in local coffee shops and small venues, and overnight I began to get a following. I never dreamed I would get to where I am today. Every little girl wants to be a singer or an actress, but I never had that. I just loved to sing, and now I get to do it for  living, and I'm so grateful, but it brings more trouble than I'd like.

Growing up I had some close friends, relatively normal life. Around age 14 is when things began to take a turn. More people wanted to post pictures with me on their social media accounts, asking for tickets to things and asking me to introduce them to celebrities. I was young and naive so I gave them what they wanted. As soon as they got it, they were gone.

"Honey people will love you no matter what."

"Ya I guess." They love me for what I can give them.

"I'll help you start packing. What do you say?" She gave me warm smile, and I couldn't help but feel a small one rise to my lips.

"Alright." I couldn't say no to my mom. She always has a way to cheer me up.

"That's my girl."

We spent a few hours trying to box up my massive wardrobe. I made a giant pile of clothes I hadn't had the heart to part with,, but I know I'll never wear again. I'll have to drop them by the donation center before we leave.

After packing, I called the one person I can actually talk to.

Hunter.

Hunter and I have been friends since we were in diapers. Our fathers were friends, so naturally we were always around each other. We knew everything about each other, he was the person who would come to all  my shows at coffee shops. We had a deep bond, and I was grateful for that.

We met at our secret beach by my house. No paparazzi could find us here, no matter how hard they tried.

"Hey Alexa! How are you!" I saw his brown scruffy head turn my way, and his smile made me feel better. Then, I realized I'd be leaving him soon.

"I'm not doing too well. That's why I called." I saw his smile fade, and his eyes had concern in them.

"What's up?"

"Yea um.." I didn't know how to break this to him. We'd been inseparable up until now. "My parents just told me we're moving. To Boston."

I saw his face drop and those hazel eyes filled with sadness.

"What? Oh man who am I gonna have karaoke night with?" That brought me a small laugh, he always turned a crappy situation into a funny one.

"Haha I'm sure you'll find someone," he tried laughing, but I saw the hurt in his eyes. "I'm leaving in two weeks and you go on tour so this is the last time we are going to see each other."

We took this opportunity to talk like old friends. I had too much packing and planning to do before I left, so I had to make the best of this. We reminisced the old days when we first met, and all the memories we've made here. Hunter will always be my best friend.

"Before we go I need to give you something."

"Ok what is it." I hope it's not a gift, I'm not too fond of those.

He took my hands, then lowered his head to mine. It all came as a shock, and I didn't know what to do. I separated us and he looked hurt.

"Hunter what are you doing?"

"What I've wanted to do since the first day I met you." He pulled me close again and pressed his lips to mine. I didn't know what to do, I was in shock. This was my best friend, I've never thought of him in this way.

"I have to go." I pushed away from him and he looked surprised and hurt. I quickly gathered my things and headed back to my house. What the hell just happened?

"Alexa wait!" I didn't look back. My best friend just kissed me, what am I supposed to do?
