Kai, Phoenix, and Jasper slowly tread water. Kai looked up,
"Those were short-range missiles. Land base," Kai pointed, "That way our best bet,"
Jasper turned to his dad, "You want to go toward the people who tried to kill us?"
Kai smirked, "If it means land, yes,"
Phoenix raised an eyebrow, "You expect us to swim there?"
Kai smiled, "I expect you to trust me,"
-Later-
The family had found old pieces of the plane and had made a makeshift raft with them, Phoenix had to use her magic to keep the parts together, Jasper steered, and Kai used his fire powers as a motor.
Soon they made it to the island, Jasper went to find a cave and Kai, and Phoenix crawled up onto the beach and collapsed,
"My little trooper," Kai put a hand on Phoenix's face, "I'm so proud of you,"
Phoenix sighed and smiled, "Thanks dad,"

Kai sat in a cave with his kids, all three of them were sitting near a fire. Kai sighed and looked at his kids,
"I think your father is in trouble,"
"If you haven't noticed dad," Phoneix said, "We're not doing so hot either,"
Kai stood up, "I'm going to look for him, that means you're in charge until I get back Phoneix,"
"WHAT!!" Jasper protested,
"You heard him,"
Kai put on his mask; he pulled Phoneix and Jasper's masks out of his bag.
