Chapter Two

Eye Catching

I just looked at her. I haven't even thought about the gang since she mentioned it last time... "Uhm, no I haven't thought about it actually..."

"You really should, Mija. The leader of the gangs name is Jughead Jones. I went to High School with his father. I'm sure he would let you join if I had a word with him. By the way, Jughead Jones goes to Riverdale High. If you come across him, tell him your thinking about joining, ok?"

I honestly didn't really listen to what she just said. I nodded and got up from the table, and went outside to meet Andre to drive me to school.

Everyone is now at school :)

Still Veronica's perspective

I was told that I have to go to the main office and meet a Ginger Haired boy to tour me around this school. His name was Archie Andrews which is a very rare but not at all odd name. Andre dropped me off at the front of the school. I walked into the main office and immediately my eyes wandered upon a Raven Haired boy.

He had one of those 'SouthSide Serpent' jackets on. My mom had told me about a boy who was going to the same school I was that had Raven Hair. She also told me that he had the most mesmerizing blue eyes. He turned around and looked at me. And, damn. Did he have gorgeous blue eyes. I then immediately made the connection that he was Forsythe Pendleton Jones the Third. More commonly referred to as Jughead.

After I had made the connection I looked away almost instantly. Then in came Archibald Andrews.

A: "Hey. Veronica right?" 

V: "Yep. You must be Archie...?"

A: *chuckles* "Yeah. Before we get started just go up to the front desk and ask for your schedule."

And so that's what I did. I nodded and smiled at him before I started to walk away to the front desk. While doing so, he confirmed to me that the Raven Haired Boys name was in fact Jughead. No, he didn't tell me to my face, but I guess they're friends. I heard them talking.

I walked back towards Archie and showed him my schedule.

V: "So, I guess this is my schedule..." he made an 'I feel bad for you' face. "Any good teachers...?"

A: "Uhm, for the most part. We have a few classes together so that should be easy."

I nodded in agreement and then he looked over at Jughead.

A: "Oh! Veronica this is Jughead, Jughead this is Veronica!"

I pretended I didn't know his name and just smiled at him.

V: "What an interesting name, Jughead. My names Veronica Lodge. Nice to meet you."

He let out a slight chuckle.

J: "Jughead Jones. Nice to meet you too."

A: "Alrighty, well we have to start this tour. See you later Jughead. Pop's tonight at 7? I'll text Betty if your up for the offer."

J: "You know I can never miss a good burger and milkshake."

Archie chuckled at his response and then he cocked his head to the side signaling me to follow him in the hallway.

V: "Hey Arch, what is Pop's?

A: "It's just a nice diner that Jughead, Betty, and I hang out. That's all. You should come meet us tonight. I'm sure they wouldn't mind."

V: "Seems nice! Also, who's Betty?"

A: "She's my neighbor. See that blonde girl with the ponytail over at her locker?"

I nodded

A: "That's her. But, we should really get going with this tour."

I chuckled and looked up at him. Damn was he tall. Keep in mind, I've had every flavour of boy but orange. He seemed like a pretty decent boy, he's nice too.

Jughead's POV

I had watched Archie and the Raven Haired Princess walk away. When Archie and I were talking whilst she was getting her schedule, he told me that her name was Veronica Lodge.

Before I got to school my dad and I had a conversation in our trailer about a Lodge girl. And that I would have to keep a good eye one her. I'm not sure why, but I didn't question it that much. I wasn't going to live up to the command anyways.

*fast forward to everyone walking to 8th period*

I was walking down the hall going to my 8th period class when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

V: "Hey. Jughead right?"

I nodded and smiled at her. She truly was a gorgeous girl. Not saying that I like her.... She was just.... eye catching

V: "Great! Uhm, I was wondering if you knew where Mrs. Williams class was... Archie showed me this morning and I forgot where it was..."

She rubbed the side of her arm in embarrassment and I chuckled at the Raven Haired girl.

J: "Yeah, that's where I'm headed right now. Mind if I show you?"

V: "I mean, I asked you to show it to me, didn't I?"

I scoffed at her sassiness.

J: "How dare you use that sass on me." I said sarcastically while putting my hand over my heart pretending she hurt my feelings.

She laughed at my sarcasm.

V: "Yeah, yeah. Let's just get to class before we're late."

She smiled and look up at me and I smiled back. She really was a joy to be around. Even if I've only known her for a day.
