A/N

Here's a little something different.

~Hinami's P.O.V~

Mr. Yoshimura woke me up bright and early as usual, with a cup of coffee and the usual kind smile.

"Good morning, Hinami. Sleep well?" He asked, placing the steaming cup down on my nightstand.

"I slept really good!" I replied, stretching an arm above my head before wincing. "Although my shoulder is still a little sore..."

I frowned after that. It has been nearly a week since the incident, but I haven't talked to Himika in days. On top of that, Himika has to stay behind and work while I go to school alone; where nothing but bullies are waiting for me. Hell, I don't even know how Himika's date went!

"Touka will be here to change your bandages in a minute, I'll be waiting downstairs while you get ready." Mr. Yoshimura said.

"Okay." I yawned back, throwing the covers aside.

The door shut with a soft click and I leapt out of bed, stretching this way and that to wake my body up. I pulled out my wrinkle-free uniform and laid it across my bed, grabbing for my backpack. I checked that I had all my books and then zipped it shut. All I have to worry about is lunch. Bleh, gross.

"Hinami? Can I come in?" Touka's voice asked after three knocks.

"Sure, the door's open!" I replied.

Touka walked in and over to my bed with a roll of bandages, making sure the door was shut before turning back to me.

"You know the drill by now," Touka said.

With a sigh, I pulled down my nightgown and stood in front of Touka, waiting patiently for her to begin taking the old bandages off.

"Hey, Hinami," Touka started. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, Touka." I chirped back.

Touka began unwrapping the bandages slowly. "I was wondering who gave you this wound? The manager never told me."

"I... I don't know if I should tell you." I nervously replied, fidgeting with my fingers.

"Why not?" Touka scoffed.

"You might try to hurt them," I said.

"No shit I'd try and hurt them!" She growled.

"But what if I told you they weren't being themself?" I asked.

"I'd drag their ass over here, slap some sense into them, and make them apologize because they're a week late!" Touka shouted.

I felt my eyes begin to get heavier, my vision blurred, and before I knew it, Touka was hugging me.

"I'm sorry Hinami!" She exclaimed. "If it bothers you that much, I won't bother asking who did it!"

"Thank you, Touka." I sniffled. "Because I honestly hate remembering when it happened."

~Time skip~

I splashed some cold water onto my face and shut off the tap, shaking my head left and right.

"Dammit." I hissed. "Why'd I have to go and cry? I'll be fifteen next year! I can't keep being a baby!"

I clenched my fist and slammed it down.

"Look at Touka, and big brother, they're both so strong." I choked. "And then there's Himika... She's younger than me and stronger!"

A shiver racked my body. A shiver I had felt many times before. Fear, pure unadulterated fear. I gripped my newly bandaged shoulder and grit my teeth. I wasn't scared of Himika, how could I be? Behind that cold strong exterior, she was just hurt, and lonely like the rest of us. I have no doubt in my mind that she's bitter about Kaneki leaving. For the time that Kaneki was away, they must've gotten really close.
