The picture above is what I would imagine their school uniform to look like. I found the picture on google, so all credit goes to the original owner of the art.

Himika scowled at her uniform as she finished tying on the red bow to go with it. It annoyed her to wear a skirt, she honestly preferred wearing pants. She decided that she was going to wear her red scarf to school anyways and wrapped it around her neck.

"Come on Himika!" Hinami called from downstairs. "We're going to be late!"

"Coming!" Himika yelled back, grabbing her black school bag off her bed and rushing out of her room.

Himika met Hinami at the door and said a quick goodbye to Nishiki, who was working his shift as Touka went to school to study.

"Bye!" Hinami said quickly before throwing open the door and rushing out.

Himika and Hinami walked side by side down the barely lit streets of Tokyo.

"I really like our uniforms!" Hinami said suddenly.

"Really?" Himika asked. "I hate them, or at least mine."

"But I think you look nice in your uniform!" Hinami protested.

Himika suddenly got a warm feeling from Hinami's compliment, not used to being complimented.

"It looks better on you." Himika said, thinking Hinami looked quite cute in her uniform.

"Thanks Himika!" Hinami exclaimed. "Look! We're almost there!"

Hinami pointed at the building that was coming into view on their left.

"Yay." Himika mumbled.

The two girls walked to their assigned lockers (which were right next to each other) and put their backpacks inside before grabbing their needed textbooks and heading to their homeroom.

Hinami slowly slid open the door and they both walked in, catching the female teacher's attention.

"Come in girls," The teacher said before addressing her class. "Everyone pay attention we have two new students!"

The class stopped their chattering and turned to look at the new kids.

"Please introduce yourself to the class." She said.

"I'm Hinami Kirishima and I just recently turned fourteen!" Hinami exclaimed.

"I'm Himika Kirishima and I'm thirteen." Himika said, less enthusiastic.

"Nice to meet you." The class replied blankly.

"Nice to meet you both, I'm Sara-sensei." The teacher introduced. "Does anyone have any questions for these new students?"

A few boys and girls around the room rose their hands.

"Are you two sisters?" A blue haired girl asked.

"Yes! We are!" Hinami replied, smiling up at Himika, who was taller than her.

"Are you blood related?" A red haired boy asked.

"No," Himika replied. "I was adopted when I was younger."

Once hearing that Himika was adopted, a few hands slowly went down, leaving only one hand in the air.

"I'm sorry if this sounds rude," A black haired girl asked. "But why do you wear an eyepatch?"

"I had surgery a few years ago and my eye is very light sensitive, because of this I tend to keep it covered." Himika lied.

Sara-sensei clapped her hands together, making a few students flinch and act more awake.

"No more questions, it's time we got to class work!" Sara-sensei said, walking to the blackboard and picking up a piece of chalk.

The first class was math, a subject Himika was decent at, considering her missing memories and the fact she had attended a school before. Sara-sensei had called on her once to answer a question, Himika had said the answer correctly and the attention was off of her.

The second class was Japanese history, Himika paid close attention to the teacher because all of this history was new to her. Unlike math, it wasn't something she could figure out using a formula, she could only pay attention and hope that they wouldn't be tested on it any time soon.

The third class of the day was biology, more specifically, human biology. Himika already had an idea of how the systems of the body worked in ghouls and humans weren't much different, aside from the amount of RC cells in their bodies and their different diets. Sara-sensei had a student pass out worksheets having to do with the systems of the body and the class was spent filling it out.

Finally lunch time had come, the time of day Himika hated more than history. The time where she had to pretend to be human.

"Come on Himika, we should go sit on the roof together." Hinami said, grabbing Himika's sleeve.

"Alright, let's go." Himika replied, letting Hinami drag her to the stairs.

Himika noticed that Hinami didn't have her packed lunch with her and raised an eyebrow at her. Hinami caught her strange stare and shook her head.

"Don't worry about it," Hinami reassured. "We will hang out alone. Where people won't see us not eating, but when we make friends we will have to eat with them."

"We need friends why again?" Himika asked, annoyed.

"Come on Himika!" She whined. "It'll be fun to make some friends!"

"Sure..." Himika mumbled.

Himika and Hinami spent their lunch hour on the roof, simply talking to each other about books and their new school. Their conversation was halted when the digital bell chimed, signalling the end of lunch.

Their fourth class was English. Himika honestly hated english. She kept asking herself why she'd need to learn it but then ignored herself and got back to work. Hinami struggled as well, but Sara-sensei was helping her out.

The fifth class of their first day was chemistry, mostly using the class to go over lab safety and talking about things to never do. They spoke of mixing dangerous chemicals, not wearing the proper protective gear and much, much more.

The sixth and final class was Japanese literature. Both Himika and Hinami did surprisingly well for their first day of class. Their love for books also contributed to their skills in Japanese, especially when it came to poetry and story writing. Himika easily could say this was her favorite class.

Once the bell for class rang Himika gathered her books and walked back to her locker with Hinami close at her side. They stuffed their textbooks into their bags before locking their lockers and leaving the school.

"What was your favorite class?" Hinami asked.

"Literature." Himika replied.

"Me too!" Hinami exclaimed. "Make any friends?"

"No." Himika said.

"Me neither." Hinami sighed. "But there's always tomorrow!"

"Yay. Tomorrow." Himika mumbled.
