Magenta cloak, loads of bandages, fits of uncontrollable giggles, and she appeared out of no where. No doubt, it was Eto.
"Eto," Himika greeted. "It's been a while."
"That it has." She agrees, smoothing out the skirt of her cloak.
"Can you maybe not appear out of nowhere?!" Kentaro yells, a panicked look on his face.
"Oh? What's this, traveling with a human?" Eto giggles, turning her gaze to him.
"Leave him be, Eto." Himika warns.
"Fine, I don't care about him anyway. I came to see you." She explains.
"Why?" Hinami speaks up.
"Your precious manager has been defeated by the CCG."
Hinami chokes back a sob and Himika clenches her fist.
"Is he dead?" Himika asks.
"Could be," She giggled. "How should I know?"
Hinami lashed out at her, her tails smashing into the ground as she cried into her hands.
"WHY HIM?!" She howled. "I DONT KNOW WHO THE HELL YOU ARE, BUT I HATE YOU!"
Eto backflipped out of the way, landing nimbly on top of a telephone pole. Her laughter only continued.
"Poor thing," She mocked, bringing a hand to her cheek and imitating crying.
"Eto, get out of here." Himika said, stepping forward.
"Why? I just got here." She pouted.
Kentaro shakily stepped forward.
"Get out of here!" He exclaimed. "Leave us alone!"
"Aw, alright." She whined. "But first, I have a present for you."
They didn't even see her move. One second she was there, the next she wasn't.
"Himika!" Hinami and Kentaro exclaimed in worry.
Himika stumbled back, not even registering the pain until after. A deep gash ran vertically from just below her shoulder to just above her elbow. Warm, red blood slid down her arm, dripping into a puddle on the ground. The sleeve of her hoodie was now ripped open, like some kind of new fashion trend she'd never understand.
"Your presence interferes with my plans." She giggled. "I have someone to help me get rid of the problem."
A pair of hands grabbed her by the shoulders.
"I'm so sorry, Himika."
It was him, again.
"I'LL KILL YOU!" She roared, thrashing in his grip.
Hot, angry tears streamed down her face, joining her puddle of blood.
"Kaneki, what are you doing?!" Hinami exclaimed.
"I'm helping you all, I'm sending you somewhere safe." He said. "It's my job to protect you."
"Fuck you." Himika spat.
"It's not your job to do that!" Hinami yelled. "We can protect ourselves!"
"Can you kill someone, Hinami?" He asked.
Hinami grit her teeth.
"Eto." He said.
Eto unwrapped the bandages on her fingers and dipped them in the puddle, drawing a large bloody circle. Kaneki brought Himika to Eto, who held her in place. He approached Hinami, then glaring at Kentaro.
"You're going to." He decided, dragging him away by the arm.
"Why me!?" Kentaro exclaimed, thrashing around.
Himika, Hinami and Kentaro were made to stand in the circle together while Kaneki and Eto guarded them.
They both knelt down and began focusing chakra. The circles colour went from red to neon blue, glowing brighter and brighter until the portal opened up. The three of them jumped back, but that didn't stop the portal from pulling Himika towards it.
Her footing slipped, but before she could get sucked in, Hinami grabbed onto her, stabbing her Kagune into the ground. The invisible pulling force increased, and they slipped further.
"Uh...um... What should I do?!" Kentaro nervously exclaimed.
Hinami grabbed his hand and squeezed it hard. "Help!"
He stayed planted to the ground for as long as he could, using every iota of his strength (granted it wasn't much). However, it still wasn't enough. His grip slipped and the three of them were sucked into the dark hole.
The blood disappeared in a puff of white, fluffy smoke and closed. Leaving two very breathtaken ghouls.
"Um... What?" Eto said.
"I forgot what it's like when the portal opens." Kaneki mumbled.
"Why weren't we sucked in?" Eto asked.
"I have a theory, but it probably only has some truth to it." Kaneki replies. "The portal seems to suck up things that have some piece of that world, whether it be blood, or strong memories. I have strong ties to this world, however, Himika is quite the opposite."
"That... Makes some sense." Eto agrees.
Kaneki nodded, sending side glances at Eto.
He really didn't trust her.
~Somewhere someplace?~
A small black hole, about the size of a trashcan opened in the sky, spitting out three individuals, who were all screaming for different reasons.
Himika screamed out of frustration.
Hinami screamed in sadness and pain.
And Kentaro was just screaming because he was terrified of heights and dropping out of a strange portal.
Thankfully, there was a forest of trees below them to catch them and break their fall a little. The three of them land in the branches of the trees, Himika feeling especially uncomfortable.
"I hate gravity." Kentaro groans.
"Ditto." Hinami groans out a word of agreement.
"Um... Guys?" Himika called out to them.
"What?" Hinami and Kentaro call back.
"My clothes are smaller."
"Huh?"
Hinami and Kentaro both twist their heads over to look at their friend. Himika sat tangled in the tree, her arm now healed. However, it wasn't her clothes that were too small.
Her legs are longer, along with her arms. Her face looks slightly more mature and her voice is even a little deeper.
In short, she looked closer to sixteen.
"Himika, it's not the clothes." Hinami said.
"You're older." Kentaro finished.
Himika glanced down at herself. "Well shit."
"We also have another problem." Hinami said, looking around. "Where the hell are we?"
"Back in my world."
A/N
Wow. That was an awful ending, but it's over with! Sorry it's short and may not be as well written. I wrote it today at the hospital while waiting for my mom to get out of surgery. Needless to say, I was a bit distracted. Who knows? Maybe I'll rewrite this chapter later on.
It's been a long day. Goodnight.
