It was over twelve years ago, I was fourteen, and I'm stuck being fourteen. It was late in the evening, I had went out to go get some food, finding that I was usually more hungry than ever before.

I had found a woman walking alone along the side streets, making her a perfect target. I leapt to attack, but it was my fault I didn't notice her silver case.

'Silver case? What's that mean?'

Quit interupting, listen to the story and then you'll find out!

Anyways, silver cases are usually carried around by members of the CCG, or as most people call them, the Doves. It is the Doves job to kill ghouls, most of the time its only the really dangerous ghouls, but they kill any ghoul they encounter.

The woman pressed the button, her case folded open and formed a quinque. Quinques are basically weapons they make out of dead ghouls kagunes. The womans quinque was made from a rinkaku kagune, which is my kagune, which is techiniqually yours now. Her quinque was green, it pulsed with power as she turned to face me.

I tried my best to fight her off, but before I knew it I was beat. She raised her quinque to finish me off, but before she could kill me, a strange black portal opened below me and sucked me in. I found myself falling for a short time before I finally landed on solid ground with a thud.

That's when I met that Orochimaru guy and his assistant Kabuto. At first they treated me pretty nicely, they helped me heal faster and let me use a spare room. But then I made the mistake of trusting them and telling Orochimaru about ghouls. Soon I found myself being kept with all his other experiments, he fed me human flesh every once in a while and conducted his experiments. He took samples of my blood and sometimes even pieces of my organs. It was an aweful cycle, he would take part of me, heal me, then do it again.

Eventually, my body couldn't take it anymore. I gave up on life and I died. And that's when I found myself in your mind, watching from the sidelines.

'Wow. Would it be alright if I told the others?' Himika asked.

I guess so.

Himika opened her eyes and looked at Kaneki, taking a breath before speaking.

"Turns out the voice I heard belongs to a ghoul named Shin. He accidentally got sucked into a portal and ended up in my dimension. He said Orochimaru experimented on him until he died, but before he died part of his DNA had been put inside me, so when he died we became one." Himika said, explaining as best as she could.

"Who's Orochimaru?" Touka asked.

Himika opened her mouth to reply but stopped, her mind was fuzzy, only allowing her to recall some memories.

"He's a bad man who experiments on humans in any way he likes." Himika managed to get out. "But most of my memories of him are getting fuzzy."

"The same is happening to me, but everything I remember about my life here, is replacing my memories from before." Kaneki said. "The more I remember the more I forget."

Mr. Yoshimura, who had been quietly thinking to himself, finally decided to speak.

"You said the voice in you're head belongs to a boy named Shin," He started. "Could you tell us anything else he said about himself?"

"He said he was fourteen when he was sucked into my dimension," She started. "He also said that he disappeared twelve years ago."

"I see." He hummed. "Everyone follow me, I'd like to take a look at something."

Mr. Yoshimura led the way out of the shop, they ended up at a ladder that went straight down into an underground area. One by one, they all climbed down the ladder until they all reached the bottom.

"What did you want to see Mr. Yoshimura?" Hinami asked, rocking on the balls of her feet.

"I would like to see your kagune Himika." He answered.

"Alright." Himika agreed.

Her kagune easily slipped out of her lower back, the clothes she was wearing making it easy. The four purple tentacles waved slowly behind her, almost as if they were waiting for something to strike.

"Interesting..." The manager muttered.

"It's a rinkaku!" Hinami exclaimed.

"Rinkaku?" Himika asked. "Shin mentioned it, but I don't know what it is."

"Ah right, you probably don't know." Touka sighed. "Their are four types of kagune, rinkaku, koukaku, ukaku and bikaku. They all look different and some are better against others."

There was a bright flash of red before Himika could see what she could only describe as wings, coming from  Touka's back, but they were closer to her shoulder blades. The wings were red and looked almost like fire, but Touka demonstrated that they could be hardened into crystals and fired at the enemy.

"My kagune is an ukaku type." Touka explained. "If you want to see the other types of kagunes I'll be sure to introduce you to the others soon."

"Others?" Himika inquired.

"Whatever you do, keep Tsukiyama away from her." Kaneki said, Himika thought she saw him shiver.

"Probably a good idea." Touka agreed. "But if he comes around here there's nothing you can do."

"But she can still meet Nishiki, Yomo and Uta." Kaneki said.

"She's going to need a mask." Touka said.

"A mask?" Himika wondered out loud.

"Things are very different here Himika." Kaneki said. "And when we get back you're going to have to put on an eyepatch."

"So his name is Shin, he was fourteen, and he disappeared twelve years ago." The manager suddenly spoke up. "You also have his kagune."

"What are you getting at manager?" Kaneki asked.

"I knew a boy named Shin, he had that same kagune, was fourteen and worked here at Antieku for a short while." He started. "We supported him for a while with shelter and food, but he soon became out of control."

"What happened?" Touka asked.

"At only fourteen, he became a binge eater." He sighed. "He soon abandoned everyone at Antieku and disappeared. No one's heard from him in over twelve years."

"He became a binge eater at only fourteen?" Touka muttered.

"What's a binge eater?" Himika asked.

"We have a lot of explaining to do..." Kaneki sighed.

"Yup!" Hinami agreed.
