~Lyric~
"Casper!" A voice shouts, a mix of anger and worry in their voice.
Casper gasps, falling out of the bed. I look at him, and he stands up, grabbing the blanket and throwing the covers over my head.
"Stay there." He whispers, waiting to hear footsteps leave his room.
"Okay, you've got to stay as quiet as you possibly can until I come back for yo-"
Suddenly, I hear the door open.
"W-Wes!" Casper slightly gasps.
"Casper, what are you doing in the guest room?" The voice, apparently Wes, says.
"Oh, uh, I must've been so tired that I accidentally went to sleep in the wrong room." Casper quickly fibs.
"Mhm, alright... One last question." Wes continues. "Who's clothes are those on the side of the table? Or were you cross-dressing last night?"
The room falls into a really awkward silence. I can feel the tension in the air.
"I... I guess I better tell the truth." Casper sighs. "I went to drive Lyric home last night but her mom was out, so she stayed here. In the middle of the night, she had a nightmare, so I came to comfort her and ended up falling asleep in the same bed as her. End of story." Casper says rather fast.
Another silence fills the air.
"So where's the girl?" Wes replies sternly, and Casper walks to the bed and finally pulls the covers up. I sit myself up awkwardly, feeling rather embarrassed, yet relieved that I could actually sit up and breathe regularly without trying to pretend I didn't exist.
"Hello Wes." I say nervously. Wes turns to Casper, narrowing his eyes.
"Explain her attire." He mutters.
"Well clearly she didn't want to wear what one of her alters dressed her in." Casper says, rolling his eyes.
"... Lyric, I must ask you to go downstairs. Rose and Zoë should be down in the living room with the baby." Wes orders.
Baby? What baby? So Caspers aunt was pregnant? Well then.
"Alright. Sorry about all of this, sir. I'll be sure to send my mother a call to pick me up if you don't mind." I sigh, getting up from the bed.
"Zoë will do that for you." Wes says in almost a monotone voice.
I leave the room without making any eye contact with Wes or Casper. Tension rose in the air. Why did I need to get a nightmare? Ugh, I'm so... stupid sometimes.
I walk down the stairs shamefully, praying I don't bump into Ashley. It would make things even worse, though I know already that she will be hearing of it, but it'd make matters worse if I bumped into her.
I make my way into the living room area that Casper had taken me to the first time I visited. Today, the feeling wasn't as pleasant. Adding to it all, I could hear the sobbing of a baby coming from the room.
"Bri, what's wrong?" I hear a woman's voice say. There was no touch of accent, so I assume it must be Rose.
"Madame-" Zoë begins, but is cut off by a loud wail from Bri.
"Fetch me a toy or something. God kid, you just ate like ten minutes ago." Rose mutters.
I take a deep breath, then begin walking in the room. The toy area is close to the entrance, so I manage to have Zoë spot me first.
"Lyric!" She says happily, then pauses as if she's trying to think of how to say something to me in English. "Uh, what, no, where is you clothing?"
