~Endora~
Loud screaming everywhere. That's what I heard. A hand on my wrist. That's what I felt. I tore my arm away, waiting for the band to start. The boy whom I am unfamiliar face-wise with that was holding my wrist looks curiously at me.
"Lyric, you alright?" He asks me.
"Hmm?" I respond curiously. "Bruh, I'm just here for this band."
The guy stares at me for a moment. Someone from behind me hits the back of my head, most probably accidentally, so I turn around and give them a death glare. They can fuck off, I'm not here to be touched.
"Lyric, are you alright?" The guy asks again.
"I'm not Lyric, idiot." I mutter.
"Endora?' He suddenly asks, and I raise my brow at him.
"How the fuck you you know who I-" I stop speaking, for I hear Sleeping With Sirens begin to sing. My smile brightens as I wave him off and start shrieking in happiness. Their voices sound so great in real life, it just makes me so happy.
Once they finish their first song, I look back towards the boy.
"Anyways, how do you know me?" I ask.
"I'm Casper. Lyric and-"
"Aaaaaand I'm a fucking dipshit." I cut him off as I give myself a facepalm. "Listen Casper, I'm sorry. Lyric and the others have told me a lot about you. Nice to finally speak with you. This might be one of the only times we talk though, I'm not very fond of coming out unless I need to." I shake his hand as Sleeping With Sirens begins to sing once again, and I let go of him and begin shrieking again. Rodger Rabbit, probably my favourite of their songs. I feel really stupid for not knowing who Casper was, but it's not like it was my fault, right? I never saw him before, so nobody can really blame me. I'll be sure to remember his face though. I need to.
I turn to examine his face, and he seemed to be looking in my direction as well. Our eyes lock, and his eyes sparkle in the sunlight. It's as if he is a trance and I was dragged into it willingly. I am a fawn in headlights and he smiles as the young fawn waiting on the other side of the road for me, unaware of the situation I was being pulled into.
I break the eye contact and shake my head, focusing on the music once again. I've never made eye contact with anyone before, and I wasn't really sure if I liked it.
"Nobody's gonna feel your pain
When all is done and it's time for you to walk away
So when you have today
You should say all that you have to say."
Didn't Meg tell me that Casper was gathering up information on all of our pasts and our parts to help Lyric? Shit, I'm out, so what if he asks me? If he does, it's going to be so damn embarrassing. I literally play no part to keep her safe, so what's he going to think of me as? 'Oh, so you're the useless alter?'
The song comes to a conclusion and Casper puts a hand on my shoulder. I swat it off and turn towards him.
"You know," he begins. "You're going to have to tell me sometime."
What is he, a mind reader?
"Yeah, no thanks," I mutter. "I'm not worth your time. I'm surprised Meg, Micah, and Ce opened up to you."
"Micah hasn't told me anything yet," Casper states. "I have yet to ask him."
"Don't put the poor kid through it." I say. "He had it pretty tough."
"Exactly why I need to ask him." He says. "Lyric needs the missing information of her life!"
"I have nothing to tell you besides the fact I was r-" I cut myself off. "You know what? Just forget it. I'm not telling you anything. I have no trust for anyone besides the others."
"Endora-"
"I'm done talking. I'm letting Lyric back out." I say.
"Wait-"
"I'm not waiting to repeat a petty conversation!" I shout, cutting him off. "Now would you please get off my back about this?"
He pauses for a moment as I keep my eyes narrowed in a glare towards him.
"Alright, listen," He finally says. "What would it take for you to tell me?"
I stand there for a moment in silence, thinking if there would ever be a way.
"If you were a part of our family in any way." I finally say. "I trust Hailey and sort of Maria, so if you and Lyric were for some reason ever in love with each other, I might, just might consider telling."
"That's it?" He asks.
"That's it." I mimic. "Now I'm going to go. Have a good time." I shut my eyes and allow Lyric to enjoy the rest of her time at the concert.
