Days past and Aro's health was declining rapidly. Carlisle had offered to take him to his home to give him the help he desperately needs but his brothers declined him.
The ball had to be thrown without Aro hosting it. Marcus took over and excused Aro's absents before letting the ball began.
It was in the middle of the feast when Aro started to cry and scream in pain. Frighten, Carlisle ran to his room where there was Corin, Sulpicia, and three lower guards were trying to calm him down. He gave Aro medicine that he needed and the pain slowly went away. Thank god he had considered bringing medicine from his home in case if Aro ever felt the pain too much.
All the vampires in the world had heard about Aro's sickness, they were all worried and scared for him. More so when they heard him scream in agony and pain.
Carlisle pleaded Marcus and Caius to let him take Aro to his home yet they refused. The Cullens went home fearing Aro's conditions would worsen.
Which it did.
Aro couldn't walk, talk, feed, or open his eyes. He wasn't sleeping but was deep in unconscious.Ana's P.O.V
I was scared for Aro, I couldn't bare the cries and screams. I even cried for him. Jane and Alec came to me to cry in my arms.
Any one could say that they are evil, that they are just a persona of innocent children when really they're evil demons. Those people have their eyes closed and opened to what they only want to see.
The twins might be thousands years old, yes their powers are terrifying but they aren't evil. They are lost souls who are walking in darkness.
I calmed them down and helped them focus on their duties, after that I head back to my desk at the entrance. When I got there, I was surprised to see Caius looking at my work area. When his eyes fell on me, he instantly was in front of me.
"Where have you been?" He asked.
"With Jane and Alec." I said with surprise of he wasn't angry as he usually is.
"Are they alright? I heard them sobbing." There was worried in Caius' word and tone, that made me smile.
"Yes they are alright Caius, they just needed me to support and push them to move on with their duties. Caius, they are yet children by heart. Time is frozen for all of your kind." I said.
"I know that, still, you should have not got out of work as you pleased."
"Work is right now the least of my worries, I'm worried about you and your coven." I said.
"Why would you be worried so much about us, when we could kill you instantly?"
"I'm not afraid."
"You're so naive."
"No, I know that you are vampires, that you need the blood to preserve your immortal life. That would kill the lives of so many."
"Then why not run away? For your life's sake. We are the Volturi and we don't have second chances."
"Even if I past the valley of death, I shall not fear because he is with me. Jehovah is my pastor and I will not have nothing."
"So into your faith, do you think that it will save you?"
"The fact that you're not drinking my blood right now is proof enough for me."
"Believe me, I want to see you dead! Why aren't you!?"
"I am protected and covered in the blood of the lamb."
"Who is the lamb? Lamb." Caius taut.
"There's this book called the Bible, read it." I turned my heals walking away then stop to look at Caius again. "Oh, but that's right. You can't read it because you will feel condemned. Sad, isn't it?"
Caius' mouth open and close, his brows drew together then separates at the same time. I could tell that he wanted to attack me but I felt the Holy Ghost preventing him to do so.
"Oh you-you-little you-oh uh-uh, that's Aro's line!" What's all he could say.
I smirked and walked away.
Walking through the halls, I could tell were Aro's room is. Another gift you might say, knowing where to go or how to do things without being there before or learning how to do it.
Opening the door, I saw Aro lying on his bed crying from the pain.
I walked to sit on the side of the bed.
He opened his eyes and stared right into mine. Of course he was not so cool with the secretary in his room and not where she should be.
"What * are you *cough* * doing here?" His growling sounded so much like a puppy.
"Can't I help your majesty in anything? Clearly you'll need my healthy blood to fight off the diseased blood. You know, that medicine and food helps the sick go back to health. In your case, it will be blood. I've seen the foresight of a blonde man giving you medicine, but blood is what you need to regain your strength." That the longest speech I ever done without stammering. I was never good at having a conversation or speaking for a long time without stammering.
"You're * right. *Coughing out loud* *nearly throwing up* * I f-feel s-so * weak." Aro said barely holding strength to keep his eyes from closing.
"Well I see that the diseased phrases is passing. Here," I pull out my pocket knife that I bought this morning and hover it over my right arm,"Drink from my blood. It will prevent the hello of the burn in your throat after you get healed."
Aro looked at me weakly for a moment then nodded his head.
Slicing my wrist, letting the blood build up and then tilting my arm to the angle where my blood falls directly inside Aro's mouth. He gulped and gulped.
I pressed my wounded arm to let more blood out, I was getting dizzy and dizzy but kept my conscious.
Then Aro grabbed my wrist and put it in his mouth. I yelped but soon realized that he was sealing my wound with his venom.
"T-thank you Lee-ah. I am feeling b-better now." He said.
I turned my head and almost screamed when I saw Marcus.Marcus P.O.V
I smiled at Ana's braveness for letting Aro drink some of her incredibly, delicious, sweet blood. Having brought a bag of warm blood just donated. I walked to a trembled Ana.
"Sorry Marcus, I will get back to work." She fastened to get up but my hand on her shoulder stopped her attempt.
"Don't fret Ana, I'm just glad that you helped Aro when you did not need to."
I told her.
"I know and I am still trying to forget and forgive him for nearly killing me on the job. I just couldn't stand his agony, it hurts Alec and Jane."
I smiled at her, I couldn't believe the bond she had with us. That is of a family, friend, love, and protection to all of the members of my coven. Clearly we had discovered that she's a well of gifts and potential. I could not say that she really is the catch, no, she voluntary came to us. The wives liked her at first sight, Jane and Alec think of her as their mom, Felix and Demetri acted so much like her older brothers, Corin is like a nana to her, Heidi and Chelsea are like her older sisters, Renata is like the cousin as well are Santiago and Afton. Caius acts like he still hates her but I could tell in his eyes that he cares about her and that alone made him furious with himself. I have the bond of an uncle with her, strong almost close as to a father to a daughter.
"Looking over the bonds I have with you all?" Her question got me out of my thoughts.
"You truly are a gifted one Ana."
"Sometimes I don't need my gifts, I can read your body like an open book."
