Jack's POV
Soon. I thought to myself. Soon I will ask y/n to be my wife, Y/n Avery. Sounds perfect.
As I got into my car from my mom's place, I went back to my place and to tell y/n to get ready for tonight. If she says yes right now we could tell everyone tonight at dinner.
I got real big plans.
She'll love this ring. I just know it. It's meant to be.
I pulled up into the drive way and saw her car which meant she was home. Perfect timing. I parked my car in the driveway carefully making sure not to hit the garage door like last time.
I checked the rear view mirror and fixed myself a bit then got out of the car.
Never thought this day would come.
I walked up to the door and grabbed the box out of my pocket and walked in.
But I wasn't expecting this.
She was on top of another guy on the couch.
"What the fuck, y/n?!" I exclaimed as she freaked out. "Jack, babe I-I'm sorry, this d-didn't mean to happen." she said putting on her clothes.
"Bullshit, y/n we've been together over a year and both of us have never done this shit and you are the one to cheat." I said, I was angry but at the same time heartbroken but now is not the time to cry over a cheater.
"Jack, shut up, I only did this because I knew you were cheating on me with your best friend of a slut." she said now defending herself.
I saw the guy with his clothes back on and immediately left the house.
"Do you hear yourself? She's my BEST FRIEND, what the actual fuck made you think that I was cheating on you? You should've asked me if I was cheating."
"But you would deny 'cuz that's what all the guys do." she said raising her arms.
"I wouldn't deny shit, you know I've been cheated on before and that shit hurt. I was going to ask you to marry me but I come home to this." I yelled raising my voice
"No you were not, please Jack tell me you weren't." she said now crying.
I handed her the box and she opened it up and saw the ring. She covers her mouth and cried.
"My BEST FRIEND helped me out with the ring, she paid half of it and I paid the rest."
"J-jack I am so sorry I should've never assumed." she apologized walking closer to me. "You never should have in the first choice but it was your choice to do this." I said walking upstairs and going into our room.
I took out all of my clothes out it into black plastic bags and went downstairs to my car and walked out the door.
"J-jack, what are y-you doing?" y/n said putting down the ring and running towards me "Leaving."
Unlocking my car, I put the bags in the backseat and looked at y/n.
"I'm leaving and I'm going to need the ring back so I could give my best friend her money back." I said trying so hard not to cry. "Jack please this was a mistake, I should've never assumed please Jack marry me." she begged while she was crying.
"Y/n, you know that I've been cheated on before and that hurt like a son of a bitch and now I was going to ask you to marry me but I find you cheating on me."
"Jack I'm sorry." Y/n sobbed.
I looked down at her hands and she had the box with the ring inside. I slowly took it out of her hands and got into my car. She followed me but I closed the door on her.
"Jack please." she said with her hand on the window.
Rolling the windows down and gave her a 'you messed up' face. "Never thought this would end this way." I said looking at her straight in the eyes.
I turned on the car and faced her again.
"Bye"
