Blindfolded
You could fool me with just your eyes
Maybe blindfolded
With hands tied behind your back
You'd still find a way to feed into my anxietyWrapping your thoughts around my mind
Leaving just enough space for me to worry about you
Are you still the only one that is bound?
Or is it me too?Books
You read me like a book
As if I were transparent
Written all over the pages
My stories,
The questions I asked,
The things I've done,
The places I've been,
All of my fears. Then you burned the books
As if it was the night of broken glass
And my windows were shatteredNew Years Resolution
"I don't want you to take this the wrong way"
Is the worst way to start a sentence
Or an apology, as I've seen it
"I'm sorry but it's not working out as I planned"Maybe you just need a new planner?
Or a new calendar to start your year off right
Was your New Years Resolution to keep me?
Well, as the clock struck midnight
You had already broken it.
