Waves
Those ocean eyes stop me every time
Like a deer in headlights
Frozen in time, I wait for the crash
But it never happensWhy do I go to the beach,
If I don't like the waves or the sand?
I stare blankly at the ocean
And dive inReluctant or not,
It pulls me in
Like the gravity of the earth
Or the tides caused by the moonBut do I even care if I drown?
Deep
It comes and goes in waves
As if it were radiation
Or is it something more?
Which is what I ask you everydayYou'd reply
"No.
It may come in waves,
but it leaves as gusts of wind"Hoops
Hoops
Picture them however you'd like
As if they were a hula hoop spinning around an innocent child's waist
Or the earrings you wore that I so often made fun of because they were abnormalDo you enjoy watching me jump through your
hoops?
The hoops that I once thought were normal
Or things that "everyone were doing"
It was "cool" to me to feel rebellious
Even though it wasn't the type of person I am
Or was?
