* Nick and Priyanka had exposed themselves the past weekend. Priyanka and Nick had let her cousin, Parineeti about their new found relationship which was fairly new to them. To be honest they only had been dating for 48 hrs. Priyanka was not ready to let her mother in on her relationship. Parieneeti had taken the time to get to know Nick and she was now team Nick. Nick and Priyanka enjoyed spending time with each other but the weekend had come to an end and they both had work to tend to. Nick had just landed back in New York when his twitter notifications started going crazy. There were tweets about Ruin the Friendship, Demi's need song. After looking on twitter it was confirmed that Demi had written a song about her feeling for Nick. Boy, was this bad timing. Nick rushed home where he found Joe in the living room.*

Joe: Hey brother.

Nick: Hey! Have you been on Twitter today?

Joe: Yea. Did you hear the song?

Nick: I listened on the way here. Why would she write that?

Joe: Maybe she wants to take things to the next level.

*This convo had made Nick uncomfortable because Demi was an ex of Joe and on top of that he was now in a relationship. This was not the time this song was going to ruin his relationship with not just his brother but Priyanka. He had to talk to demi. He left Joe alone in the living room to call Demi.*

Demi: Hello

Nick: Hey can we talk?

Demi: Sure! It's about the song, isn't it?

Nick: Yes! Demi you know I care about you but I really would've liked a heads up before you released this song.

Demi: I didn't think I needed permission to write about my feelings Nick.

Nick: You have the right to write about whatever its just that isn't good timing.

Demi: Why is that?

*Nick didn't want to hurt Demi but lying would hurt her more.*

Nick: I'm in a relationship Demi and this song is going to make things awarded. I can't even face my brother.

Demi: So you made it official with Priyanka?

Nick: Yes. I did.

Demi: wow! That's awesome

Nick: Demi I know sarcasm when I heart it, especially coming from him.

Demi: No I am happy for you I just didn't think you were serious about her and now I look like an ass!

Nick: Demi, it doesn't have to be like this. It will all be ok.

Demi: Will it? So can I sit next to you and Priyanka and laugh and talk with her after I pretty much told the whole fucking world I wanted to bang her man? That's a nice convo to have over drinks. Don't you think?

Nick: Demi don't do this!

Demi: You did this. No one told you to be kind, loving, and protective and make me fall in love with you.

Nick: I was being a friend! Friends are supposed to be kind, loving, and protective. I wasn't trying to toy with your emotions.

Demi: Well friend, thanks but that doesn't fix things.

Nick: Damn it, Demi! That's not fair!

*Nick rarely yelled but he felt nothing but hurt. He was just trying to protect Demi.*

Demi: Fair? You want to talk about fair when I'm the one that's going to look like an ass.

Nick: How you think this will make me or Priyanka look?

Demi: I don't care about her?

Nick: Exactly! You only think about yourself sometimes. When you and Joe broke up I was there trying to keep the peace and it nearly ruined my relationship with my brother. Hell, I could've mended things with Olivia but I listened to you. I know I was being a friend but were you? Ok did you want me all to yourself? We both know you can't be alone.

Demi: Wow! For a man who doesn't speak much you really know how to hurt someone with your words don't you?

Nick: Demi I care about you but we both know we can't have a relationship. Besides, you have been falling off lately and I can't keep saving you.

Demi: Then Don't!

* The phone call ended and Nick was left with just his feelings. This was definitely not how the friendship was supposed to be ruined. Nick stood in silence with tears in his eyes. One relationship was ruined! How many more relationships would be ruined today?
