Disclaimer: Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. 2020 has been a pain in the ass but we have made it to December! I want to make it clear that none of these events are true and that like all stories on Wattpad, this is completely fictional besides a few statements.
People often say that love and pain go hand in hand. You can't have one without the other. Nick and Pri are madly in love. They have just found out that Pri was expecting, their families loved and accepted one another, the brothers were back together, and everything was perfect. Or so they thought!
Pri: Hey babe! Has everyone RSVP to the wedding so that I can confirm the number of guests for the caterer.
*Nick walks into the bedroom*
Nick: Yes darling, everyone has accepted the invite to the wedding. All 206 of them! What did I tell you about stressing yourself out?
Pri: I know babe but everything has to be perfect. Besides, we have seen what happens when we let other people take over!
Nick: Haha! You have a point, but still, these high levels of stress don't just affect you but they affect the babies too!
Pri: I just need to confirm a few more things before I head back to Mumbai to wrap up the final shooting.
Disclaimer: During the planning of Priyanka's wedding, she was wrapping up the shoot for her movie The Sky is Pink. I believe it is now on Netflix so go and watch it!
Nick: I don't understand why you just can't tell them that you're pregnant and planning a wedding and need some time off to sort things out.
Pri: Nick I have had to fight my way to the top through all the nepotism and bullshit from the directors in the industry and the last thing I need is them thinking that I can't do my job because I'm a pregnant woman planning a wedding.
Nick: Why are you so worried about what they will think? For the past few weeks we have had to take you to the ER because you're having asthma attacks left to right, your blood pressure is up, and some days I can't even get you out of bed.
Pri: You don't think I know that? I'm trying Nick! What happened to you loving my ambition and never asking me to give up my career.
Nick: Yes, but not at the expense of your health and our children's health. You're only a month into your pregnancy and currently taking a toll on you!
Pri: I'm not having this conversation anymore. I'm going to my office to work.
Nick: I'm going to bed and I would like my wife to be next to me.
*Priyanka looked at Nick with hurt in her eyes, because she knew her husband was right but she had work to do and she didn't want to stay and continue to be lectured.*
Pri: Goodnight Nick. *Priyank turns and leaves the room*
*Nick fell down into his bed in frustration. He just wanted what was best for his family, but there was no way of getting through to Priyanka.*
*Next Morning*
* Alarm Goes off *
Nick: Ah Fuck! *Grunts*
Pri: Nick turn off that alarm, I'm still trying to sleep.
Nick: Well no one told you to stay up til 4 am. Also, can I have a minute to register my thoughts?
Pri: Nick turn off the alarm!
* Nick turned off the alarm and grabbed his clothes to get changed in the other room. He got dressed quickly and needed out the front door without a word*
Pri: Nick?
*Priyanka had realized that Nick had left without saying a word and that the guilt sat in even more. She decided it would be best to let Nick cool down and in the meantime, she would get some more sleep.*
* Four hours later*
*Priyanka is awakened by a sharp pain in her stomach. She sits up on the edge of the bed to gather herself and try to reassure herself that she was fine. She gets up to head to the bathroom to gather herself. When she goes to sit on the toilet, she realizes that there is blood in her underwear. She jumps up and runs to her bedroom where she calls 911, and then Nick. Nick who was in a meeting was not able to be reached. Priyanka sat on her bedroom floor in fear of losing her babies and ultimately her future husband as he has warned her multiple times of stressing her body out. 20 minutes later, the paramedics arrived and transported Priyanka to the local hospital. By the time Priyanka had arrived, her mother and cousin Paraneeti had been informed and were awaiting her arrival at the hospital. Thirty minutes after her arrival, Nick was finally able to be reached and he instantly left the meeting, calling his mother and father on the phone to inform them that Priyanka was rushed to the hospital and that something was wrong with Priyanka and the babies. Priyanka was prepped and placed into a room for evaluation.*
Pri: *crying* Mama I don't want to lose my babies.
Ms. Chopra: Baby everything is going to be ok. Nick is on the way and you are going to be fine.
Pri: I can't face him, mama. I didn't listen and look what's happening.
Ms. Chopra: Priyanka this is not your fault. * she kisses her daughter on the forehead and held her hand*
*Nick made his way into the hospital with his security and he was directed to Priyanka's room. Nick rushed to Priyanka's room where Priyanka lied in her bed, holding her mother's hand.*
Nick: Babe I'm here! Sorry, I didn't get your call, I was in a meeting. I'm here and you're going to be ok! Everything is going to be fine!
Pri: I'm so sorry!
Nick: Pri, stop it! You have nothing to apologize for. Just focus on me ok.
*Nick began doing deep breathing with Priyanka and she began to follow him and calm down. Dr. Sean walks in, greets the Chopra-Jonas family, and then speaks to Priyanka Chopra about the blood work and evaluation that was done at the beginning of her arrival. Dr. Sean informs Pri and Nick that due to some blood clotting, there was a lack of oxygen flow to their fetus and that she was indeed experiencing a miscarriage. Dr. Sean informs her that unfortunately there was nothing that could be done and that they would have to perform a procedure called dilation and curettage to remove the remaining pregnancy tissue from her uterus. Some of the tissue was expelled when she urinated at home. Nick's head fell upon Priyanka's chest and she could feel his body tremble and she could feel his heart and soul crumble. Dr. Sean asked everyone, besides Nick to leave the room while they complete the procedure. The doctor and nurse began the procedure and Nick and Priyanka locked hands!*
Nick: Everything's going to be ok. Everything's going to be ok.
*Nick repeated this the entire procedure quietly in between his sobs. Priyanka laid in a state of numbness as tears ran down the sides of her face*.
Pri: * Whispers quietly* We're going to be ok.*
