THE NATIONAL JIJU

THE PAST, THE PRESENT, AND THE FUTURE.

It had been about 3 days since Priyanka had been released from the hospital from her asthma attack and the whole ordeal where she thought Nick was having an affair. Priyanka was feeling better and getting her energy back. She and Nick had spent the last couple of days in their new home and talking about their future which now included three little munchkins. 

Nick: Bae what do you want for breakfast?

Priyanka: *staring down at her planner* I'm good bae, just some coffee.

Nick: You know you can not have coffee while pregnant and you have to eat.

Priyanka: ugh. Coffee cannot be that bad for babies. But fine. I will take an omelet. 2 omelets!

Nick: Ok I will let Maria now. Oh and put that planner away. You are supposed to be resting.

Priyanka: I have to plan our wedding. I want to walk down the aisle not wobble. I know these babies are going to grow fast.

Nick: Ok but can you put it away and rest at least until you have had breakfast.

Priyanka: Yes Mr. Jonas

Nick: Thank you, Mrs. Jonas

Nick went to inform Maria of what he and Priyanka wanted for breakfast while Pri quickly glanced in her planner before her husband returned. She had so many ideas floating around in her head about the wedding and the babies' nurseries. She heard Nick coming up the stairs and quickly put the planner away.

Nick: Bae I was thinking why don't you hire a wedding planner? So you and I can focus our energy on the kids?

Priyanka: No! This is my first wedding and I Don't want some stranger planning it for me.

Nick: Yes but I don't want you to work yourself up and get stressed.

Priyanka could see the slight guilt Nick had in his eyes every time he mentioned her working too much or getting to worked up. He felt bad that she had had an asthma attack due to the fact that he was not honest about the new home even though his heart was in the right place.

Priyanka: stop it!

Nick: Stop what?

Priyanka: You keep blaming yourself about the incident and it is not your fault. I should have just asked instead of assuming.

Nick: And I could have just told you what I had planned instead of sneaking around and making you suspicious and upset.

Priyanka: There is a lot that could have been done but there is nothing that we can do about it now. We have to move forward and focus on the wedding and the babies. Babies most importantly.

Nick: You're right. 

Nick leaned in and kissed Pri and then leaned down and gave his babies a kiss and told them good morning. He and Priyanka were thrilled to be parents and could not wait to share the news with family but first, they wanted to enjoy the news themselves for a while. They enjoyed their breakfast and they both got up out of bed, showered, and headed out to do some shopping and tying up loose ends. Priyanka and Nick soon had to be in India in a couple of days for their Roka Ceremony which her mother had planned. They both were finally excited to get things to jump started for their wedding. 

THE ROKA CEREMONY

A week later Nick and Priyanka found themselves on the first flight heading to India for their Roka Ceremony. Nick's parents had joined them on the flight to India as well.
