*Nick knew what was next. It was only a matter of time before Priyanka found out and confronted him. Would she dump him? How was Joe feeling about all this? Was he angry? Nick went downstairs and found his big brother sitting with his fiance, Sophie.
Sophie: Hey turd. It's going to be ok. *She stood and hugged Nick. Sophie knew how much Nick loved his brother and cared about Demi and that this was eating at him.*

Nick: But what about Priyanka? Do I call her or wait it out? I'm so confused!
Joe: Bro, go call her!
*Nick stepped outside to call Priyanka when Parineeti called*
Nick: Hello
Pari: Nick, what is going on?
Nick: Pari, look I can explain.
Pari: I told you not to hurt my cousin.
Nick: I know! Demi had feelings for me that were deeper than I realized. She released the song not knowing that I wanted to be with Priyanka and was already started dating Priyanka. Our friendship is over. She hates me!
Pari: Nick I'm sorry. It's not easy losing a friend.
Nick: Is Priyanka mad?
Pari: She's at work so I haven't spoken to her. Call her later Nick and explain.
Nick: Ok. Thanks, Pari.

*Time went by in slow motion. Nick had told Priyanka to call when she made it home but that seemed forever ago. Then suddenly his phone rings and his stomach drops.*
Nick: shit! Get it together NicK!
*He took a deep breath which felt like his last and answered the phone.*
Nick: Hello

* It was so good to hear her say those words. Nick could only hope that she would still hold this same tone at the end of the call.*

* Nick felt tears running down his face. He just wanted to be happy. He didn't think he would have to sacrifice a friendship, but he was damn glad he still had his desi girl by his side. *
