"You coming over tonight?" John asked. We had hung out every Friday night for two months after my first day. I had met his sister, Martha, who was really cool. I met his mom two Fridays ago, and she was nice as well.

"Yeah. Can I stay over tonight?" I closed my locker.

"Yeah, sure. Will you need to go home before hand?" I nodded. "Okay, that's cool. See ya!" He said as the bell rang. I waved, and started walking to class.

-

I unlocked to front door, rushing inside. I hurried upstairs to my room. I grabbed a bag and unzipped it. I shoved in clothes and a few sports bras, as well as a notebook. I found my binder and put that in as a just in case. I wasn't able to use it that often since no one knew about my being trans.

I zipped the bag, rushing down the stairs. I maneuvered my way out the door, locking it behind me. I hurried down the street and saw John waiting for me.

"You good?" I nodded, and we walked in a peaceful silence to his house.

-

"Please, can we watch Heathers?" John whined.

"No, we watch that too much."

"Please?"

"No." He sighed, looking at me. "Why?"

"I already said we watch it too much. And I'm going to go get in my pajamas." I got off his bed and opened my bag, wrapping a few sports bras into my sweatpants and old t-shirt.

I closed the bathroom door. I took my sweatshirt off and quickly substituted it with the sports bras and my t-shirt. I made quick work of switching my jeans to the sweatpants, doing my best not to look at myself in the mirror.

I walked down the hall, turning in to John's room. He was sitting on the blue bean bag chair he had, his face portrayed confusion.

"What's up?" I asked. I went to my bag to put my clothes up, noticing the zipper was open. Did I leave it open? I shrugged it off, searching for my notebook before putting the rest in. Wait, holy fuck! Did he find my notebook? I continued searching until I realized something worse-

My binder wasn't in my bag.
