Y/N POV

Corl's footsteps suddenly stop. He turns the corner faster than a dart hitting a board and stares at me for a moment. Then he grabs me. He drags me on the floor as I try to escape his grasp. My tears hit the ground as my screams echo through the maze.

It can't end like this. I have a job to do. Denis and Sub trust me with their lives at stake and I can't let them down. I try to conceal my emotions. I break free from Corl's grasp and run. I even continue running after my sides start to ache.

Once I see no sign of him, I trace back my steps to the painting. I finally find a place that seems familiar. It's the spot where Denis ran into me. From there, I try to remember the way that Sub took us. Left.. left.. right.. left.. wait no.. right.

Finally, I find it. I see Sub's watch on the ground with nobody's wrist for it to be on. Denis and Sub are nowhere to be seen. In my mind, I'm scared of what might've happened to them, but I know I have to move forward. I pick up the watch and read the time.

10:32

I only have an hour and a half left. I clip it onto my wrist for future reference and walk towards the painting. I take it off of the wall and listen to see if anyone is inside. I also look behind me for a final time. Once I'm almost sure that nobody is here, I climb inside.

So much responsibility has just been bestowed upon me and I can't let my friends down. I continue to scan the room, trying to solve the mystery of my lifetime. I see jars of eyes everywhere. That's it.

Everyone's eyes were black. Maybe when the dolls switched out their real eyes for the black ones, it changes their view of everything and turned them evil. I look closer at the jars and notice their names on the bottom.

The one I picked up read: Elijah Best. I picked up another one that read: Denis Kopotun, and two more that read: Braden Welsh and the other one being Alex Orman. I put them down and realize what I have to do. I have to capture them and switch out their eyes. One question comes to mind: Why me?
