Denis POV

I'm approaching a dead end. Near the wall, I look back to see Alex and the dolls stampeding towards me. I look around for possible areas to escape. My mind races as I try to figure out what to do. They were getting closer and closer to me by the millisecond.

Suddenly, an idea comes to mind. It might work, but it also might not. However, it's the only chance I've got. I charge through the crowd of them just as they swarm me. They try to pull me with maximum force.

Y/N POV

"Before the time strikes new day, you must save your unfortunate comrades from their undesired fate, for you do not want to know what will happen if you are to be late.."

I try to decipher the wording.

"Before the time strikes new day..," I recite.

"It becomes a new day at midnight," I figure out.

"Do you know what time it is now?" I ask as I turn to Sub.

He pulls down his sleeve to check his watch. He then shows me.

9:06

"We only have 3 hours," I conclude.

Sub nods.

I try to decipher the rest.

"You must save your unfortunate comrades," I continue.

"Comrades.. our friends. Unfortunate.. are they talking about Alex and Elijah?" I ask.

Sub shrugs.

The rest is easily able to figure out. If we're late, something bad must happen to them.

"Let's go. We need to start looking for everyone else," I motion for Sub to follow.

"Wait.. what if everyone else has been affected too?" I ask with concern.

Sub looks at me in a fearful manner.

Denis POV

I rush through the crowd of dolls. The feeling of their skin against mine makes me feel cold and drained of emotions. The force of their tugging rips pieces of my shirt and leaves small cuts on my face.

It seems to take forever, when finally, my hope is replenished as I start to see the dim light outside of the crowd. When I finally reach it, I run as fast I can with the high desire of survival rising and it finally seeming possible.
