Corl POV

A shocked look suddenly appears on Elijah's face.

"What is it?" I ask him.

He shows me the watch and my eyes go wide as well.

"Shoot.. we have to go quick," I conclude.

"But what are we supposed to do?" He asks me with a worried look on his face.

"I-I don't know.. but we have to figure something out," I respond, unsure of what to do as well.

We only have about 10 minutes left, which is just two sets of 5. I sprint over to the jars of eyes and grab Alex and Sub's, almost knocking over the others. I then sprint back over to Alex and Sub. Elijah follows.

I sit down on the floor and try to switch out Alex's eyes. I hand Elijah the jar of Sub's eyes so that he can switch out his. I flick open Alex's eyelids and almost jump back. I stare into the seemingly bottomless pit of dwelling black in his eyes.

"Corl, snap out of it!" Elijah says to me.

"Right.. sorry," I respond, shaking my head.

I continue the process. It's scarring to do, but I have to do it. And fast. Elijah finishes first and I finish only moments after. I peek at the watch, which is on Elijah's wrist.

Suddenly, Y/N awakens.

"Elijah! Corl!" She happily yells once she opens her eyes and sees us.

"Y/N!" Elijah yells back.

"This is no time for a reunion, we have a job to do," I say, feeling sophisticated even though I was excited she was awake too.

Elijah takes the locks off of her and to my surprise, she doesn't ask for an explanation of what's happening. She only asks for the time.

"What time is it?"

"11:51," I respond.

"Crap!" She and Elijah say in unison.

They look at each other in an awkward moment until Y/N looks away, blushing. So does Elijah. I see what's going on here.

"Did you guys already switch out Alex and Sub's eyes?" She asks, changing the subject.

"Yeah," I respond.

"So now we just have to find Denis?" She asks.

"I suppose," Elijah replies.

I grab the jar of eyes with Denis's name on it.

However, I notice that there's only one eye in it. One is missing.
