"Riley?" Parker's voice fills my ears and I whirl around, the currents from my body shooting at any Flesh Feeder in a twenty foot radius. He's alive and he found me? The relief I feel at that is monumental.

"Parker." I sigh as I see him coming towards me. He aims his gun and shoots at something behind me and the Flesh Feeder charging at him explodes into a million pieces.

"We are unquestionably outnumbered, love." He starts as soon as he's close to me. My body feels a million times better now that he's here. Without Parker, I'm nothing. "I have a plan, but I'm going to need your help."

I don't even hesitate. "Okay. What do you need me to do?"

"I am going to do something that is going to astonish you, but it will all make sense eventually." He says with his eyes intensely searching mine. More Flesh Feeders explode around us. "Do you trust me, love?"

"Of course I do." I practically scoff and he smiles. I must be a sight with my blood drenched skin and crazy hair. How I manage to make him smile at a time like this is beyond me.

"Alright. I am going to generate a tsunami. All of the soldiers are going to go up on the hill over there and when the water environs the hill, I need you to electrify the water, electrifying all of the Flesh Feeders in the water." He explains and I choke.

He's going to create a tsunami?

"Parker, um, I, uh, don't know what you mean. How do you plan on creating a tsunami?" I question, getting more Flesh Feeders to explode around us due to my confusion. Has he lost his mind? And where the hell is there a hill at?

"I can channel powers." He says flippantly.

"What the hell does that mean?" I screech and he blinks at me in shock. Parker doesn't have a power. He just doesn't.

"Calm down, love." He frowns. "We don't have a lot of time for a lengthy explanation. If I touch someone who possesses a power, I am able to channel their power any time I need access to it. I do not exactly comprehend it myself, but I know how to control it. I can channel one of the asylum's inmate's power to produce the tsunami."

"That's crazy, Parker." I purse my lips, making at least forty Flesh Feeders explode at once. Parker actually thinks he has a power. He even claims he can control his said power and that's the part I'm struggling with. I've been training to do that very thing my whole life and he says he has it under control like it's so easy.

"Think about it, love. Really think about it." He says whilst gripping my forearms. More Flesh Feeders explode. Think about it? What is there to think about? But because I love him, I do as he says and think about it.

And then a certain memory comes to mind. When we were little, that guard had gripped my arm too tight and when Parker told him to let go and the guard didn't, the guard's arm got burnt. Was Parker channeling my power then?

What about the time that I was laying with Parker and the door suddenly locked? There was no one else in the room. Did he channel a power to lock it? That's the only explanation considering the fact that no one else was in the room with us. There's also the time that he called me perfect and then later responded to something I had thought but never said aloud. Had he read my mind by channeling someone's power?

Or there's the time that Miles dropped me and my arm was severely injured yet I woke up to find it completely healed. Parker had said that Roger, an inmate from the asylum, had healed it. Yet I knew it certainly wasn't a mysterious Roger that had healed my arm. Did Parker channel a healer's power to heal my arm too? Why did I so easily let Parker's lies slip from my mind?
