"What is this?"
Kija asks, face pale and grim towards his food.
"It's dinner. Is there a problem?"
Yun deadpan at the grimacing white haired.
"Dinner? These are the weeds that were growing on the mountain path!"
Kija vociferated which made the apricot haired teen irk.
"They aren't weed!"
Yun remarked, visibly annoyed.
"They're mountain vegetable that you can eat."
He adds as he lets out a scoff.
"You should be thankful that I didn't add any insects."
The young teen blankly stated which made Kija to stare at the bamboo container.
"Insects? You eat insects?"
"Insects are nutritious."
Yun informs while you just watch them bicker from the side, amused as usual.
"Are you alright with this food, [n/n]?"
Kija ask, turning his head to face you while you replied with a nodding head, just enjoying Yun's cooking as Kija was dumbfounded to your response then faces Yona.
"Princess?"
"I still can't eat bugs, but I've gotten used to most of it."
She simply says, finishing her own food.
"After all, I couldn't dislike it."
She adds, a bright smile on her face.
"But since Yun arrived, the food has gotten better!"
"Yun's cooking are the best of the best after all."
You state as you finish your food as well which made Yun to smirk, smug and absolutely overjoyed to be complimented.
"When it was just Hak and me, It was awful."
Yona informs, face blank at the memory while you nod your head, agreeing to what she said.
"Me and Hak got lost in this mountain a couple of years ago due to exploring to much. I was to blamed for it, of course. It was getting late and we were both hungry, so Hak caught some fish and grilled it. I was grateful to finally fill my stomach but my taste buds weren't happy to taste burned food."
You tell them, your smiling face slowly fading away, expression now blank.
"When we finally found our way back, I started to learn about cooking with the help of the elders there. I was determined to learn so my taste buds will not suffer anymore when I end up getting lost with or without Hak anymore."
Kija wipes the tears in his eyes before saying,
"Your journey must've been harsh, [n/n], princess."
You laugh a little at what he said then pats his head with a smile.
"What was that about my cooking?"
A deep voice asked, earning everyone's attention.
"Hak, you're awake?"
Yona asks, trying to change the subject.
"I can't let that slide."
He blankly said making you smile at Yona who nodded her head as a signal.
