"Damm it. Hang in there [Y/n]."
A man with a familiar voice said as he had you carried in his arms while running and panting.
"Hiroto-san?"
You call out, voice weak, vision blurry, breathing still uneven and feeling more weak.
"Why..are you helping me? Aren't you supposed...to be on... Soo-Won's side?"
You ask, brows touching together while looking confused towards the man.
"I don't know."
He huffs out, grumbling a little as he stops and hides behind a bush.
"All I know is that I wanna protect you even if it cost my life in the end."
You stayed silent, feeling a bit speechless at what he said.
"I know what I did was wrong, no matter what the reason I had."
Hiroto admits, letting out a small sigh and muttering,
"The gate is open."
He tightens his hold on you then stands up, seemingly ready to run for it.
"It's Hiroto-san, and he's helping someone escape!"
One of the guards shouted which made Hiroto to click his tounge and run faster when they started to get their bows and arrow ready.
"And I atleast want to do something right."
He says, blood dripping from his mouth which made you to press your lips together, a firm line forming on it.

"I'm..so sorry..this is as far..as I can...go.
Hiroto says between coughs and pants while he gently put you down, settling you on the ground with your back against a tree.
"Hiroto-san..."
You say, voice cracking a bit while he flashes a weak smile.
"You really are an idiot, you know?"
He chuckles at what you said but agreed nonetheless, his eyelids feeling heavy.
"You're a good kid [Y/n]."
Hiroto suddenly says which made you have mix feelings.
"No matter what past you have."
Your close your eyes as it was getting moist because of the tears threatening to come out.
"Really..."
You trail, putting Hiroto's head on your lap with a gentle smile.
"You humans are really weird and hard to understand."
You laughed out bitterly, Hiroto smiling as his eyes admired the blue sky, the sound of the bird chirping makes him at peace.
"But I guess that's what makes you unique as King Hiryuu once said..."
You stare at the man lying on your lap, his eyes closed as he looked at peace, seemingly sleeping and just having a good dream.
"Thank you, may you rest in peace and be reunited with your sister."

You wash your hands on the river, washing the dirt and dried blood on it which stung a bit and made you wince in pain as you got those cuts from digging a grave for Hiroto a while ago.
