The familiar playful voice spoke, hand holding your wrist.
"My beauty."
Jaeha pulls your body to him, a smirk evident on his handsome feature. He seems happy and smug.
"Jaeha..."
Your voice came out as a whisper while you stared at him, feeling his arms on your waist.
"I can't believe that I've been caught by you."
You make the smile on his lips twitch. He disguises it with a laugh.
"Why? Were you expecting someone else?"
You stared at him. Contrary to his smile, the look in his eyes were something you can't discern.
"Not really."
You reply before tipping on your toes to lean on his face, copying his usual energy.
"Why? Will you be jealous if I said yes?"
You teased with a grin that he always found himself admiring.
"Yes."
He answered shortly as he leaned forward too. He stared at you straight in the eyes, his gaze somewhat serious and holding something more; longing.
"You're bolder than usual, Green Dragon."
You teased, fingertip pushing on his forehead away from yours. He laughs.
"It's probably because I'm close to winning."
He replied with an enigmatic smile making your brow arch but before you could question him further, he picked you up.
"Let me take you somewhere nice first, my beautiful lady."
Being carried like a princess, you look down on the ground that was very far away from you both. The breeze felt nice in the sky.
"It's nice flying like this while being held once in a while."
You say with your eyes closed as you enjoy the cooling air.
"All you need to do is just say the word and I'll pick you up and take you to the sky like this again, my beauty."
Jaeha replied in that smooth voice of his as he takes another high jump.
"I'm happy to be of service to our angel protector."
You smile at him before you blatantly stare at his face.
"With the way how intense you are staring, you might actually burn a hole in my handsome, my beauty."
Jaeha said with a smile that reached his eyes. He was flustered.
The redness on his ears was enough evidence, and he's masking it with that charming smile of his; thinking that he's played it off like the cool person he is.
"Something is off."
You stare at him harder causing for bullets of sweat to trickle down his face despite the breeze.
"Did you do something wrong?"
As you were being straightforward with him, Jaeha lands lightly back on the ground.
The place he took the both of you was somewhere beautiful, breathtaking even.
"Are you planning to kill me here?"
While a neutral expression rests on your face, Jaeha stares at you in disbelief.
"Just how exactly do you think of me, my beauty??"
You stare at him then turn around, a smile now present on your lips as you laughed at the expression he displayed.
"Teasing you is fun."
You say while picking up a flower that would definitely compliment his eyes.
Walking back to him, you gesture for him to bend down. Curious, Jaeha follows your command without any words.
"I enjoy bickering with you."
You put the flower on his ear and smile widely. He found you dazzling despite the nighttime.
"Then do you want to marry me?"
Jaeha asks as he captured your hand in his. The look on his face was something you saw for the first time. His usual cool exterior is now gone.
Scared, anxious, desperate, determined, all showed and mixed up in his eyes. It was unlike him... but maybe you don't know Jaeha that much yet.
"...I was joking–"
When you didn't answer, he slipped back to his smiling face. It's clearly fake and forced.
"You can't take that back."
You say as you grab him by the collar and peck his lips, a toothy grin now plastered on your face.
"Spending my life with a man like you doesn't seem like a bad idea."
Recovering from his shock, Jaeha cups both sides of your face and pull you in for a kiss.
"You can't take that back, (Y/n)."
He says, cheeks flushed and gaze serious yet evident of love. You laugh at how cute he's being.
"I tend to keep my word, handsome."
